Hello!
Matilda, I'm so glad things went well yesterday.
Ruth, what a day you had yesterday - I hope everything goes especially well for you today.
Kara, enjoy the movie.
Natasha, I'm glad you enjoy your night shifts. Fergie worked nights for a few years when our kids were in middle school. They affectionately called him 'batman' because he'd be heading to bed when we were heading to school. He liked the nickname (we think he was thinking super hero). The kids were thinking of the bats that live in our barn though.
Cyndi I'm glad you and Julie weren't snowed on - you've shoveled enough for one winter!
Linda, I hope your lake subsides quickly. We've got a lake in our driveway... well, a slushy lake. We're still trying to decide if we'll be better off clearing it now or waiting. At least the slush will give a little traction - we had glare ice out there earlier this winter and it wasn't pretty!
Good morning kmac, Karen and Claire! I can't keep up - every time I preview my post there are new posts waiting!

No school here again today, this time because of snow and freezing rain. It was a good call, I wouldn't have wanted to be on the roads this morning and I surely wouldn't have wanted my kids on a school bus today.

It's an unexpected day at home, but I've got it planned out already. I'm going to organize cabinets and closets. Fergie is good about putting dishes and laundry away now that he's retired and I'm working, but he's got a habit of just shoving things in and shutting the doors quick. It drives me batty but I never say a word. I'd rather tidy and organize every now and then than have to deal with it all after work every day.

Have a great Monday friends.

Good morning,

Matilda- glad to hear your mom is willing to go to the specialist

Kara- I am with you unfortunately yesterday I ate junk food and it seemed like i ate it all day long, ugh back on track today.

Natasha- hope you enjoyed your wine, I don't drink it as it gives me a headache.

Karen- did you find out who walked on the roof of the car?

to everyone else.

I am dragging a bit today so need to kick it up some. I started the 30 day shred dvd this morning and after 5 minutes I was like I am done- so I took it out and did my own cardio circuit workout just could not do it today. I think I am mad because everytime I do the 30 day shred my weight loss stalls and the dvd kicks my behind so I should see something on the scale.

Have a great day everyone.

HAVE A GREAT DAY LADIES!!!

Default Hello!

Just Started back on SB after gaining back the 90 Lbs! I lost a few years ago. Thought I would try to chat about it this time. You all seem so supportive, so hope you won't mind if I stop in from time to time.

Thanks!

Morning all on this beautiful sunny day (or at least partly sunny) .
Thanks Matilda for gathering the beachers together this morning. So glad that your folks listened to you. Thank goodness my AF doesn't come around any more (getting older does have a few advantages). We never did have a good relationship and I honestly can say I don't miss her at all.

Kara, finding time to prep can be a challenge at times especially with a young family. What a fun way to get some exercise, much more exciting than just walking down my old country road I think. Hang in there today, keep busy and it will pass.

Night Nat, hope you sleep well. I know I would after that much wine .

Ruth, you are so funny. I am visited with that same uncle quite often. Got my (pricked) fingers crossed that your lab results come back good today. Don't forget to post pictures of pincushions and coasters if you can. Would love to see them.

Cyndi, gross ! And before I got my first cup of joe down. Glad it's you and not me, especially this early in the morning. Hope she is alright though. Hope you enjoy your at home day and glad you don't have to travel in those conditions.

Linda, have a busy fun day at the farm.

Good for you Kmac! Mindset is so important. Chinese would be a difficult one but proud of you for getting right back on track.

Karen, Have a great workout. A teen without a car, oh my!

Heidi, if you run out of cabinets and closets, come my way as I have plenty that can use your talents.

Well, time to jump in the shower then go for my walk. Later I'll do a few house chores and then run out to the post office to mail some books and pick up a few fresh vegs. Keeping a fresh supply in the frig sure makes for more frequent trips to the grocery store.

I tried the weight training dvd yesterday and I can honestly say I just don't like doing it at all! I could even use the "hate" word. So I don't think that is going to work. May try it a few more times but it just isn't my thing. Walking is so much nicer.

Hope we all can manage a good on plan day and for those who are struggling with cravings today, hope you can find the to make it through the day.

Hi Everyone

I've just returned from the airport in Denver...seeing my sister off. We left at 6am and it was foggy and slick. I'm hungry and glad to be home.

There is no way I'd ever catch up with everyone today....soooo

I'll just say how much you all mean to me. This is such a supportive crew! I was thinking early this morning that there is no way I'd still be staying the course with my weightloss without all of you. When I got home today, I was missing my sis and started my check ins. There was a very sad and emotional post from the sister of our friend who is now paralyzed. I cried, then got a piece of fruit and came here. It cheered me up so much to catch up with the daily chatter. I can take some deep breaths and make a commitment to steer clear of emotional eating today.

Guess I'll go search out some lunch and try to call Okie (BellaLucia).

Back from the doc and a productive morning spent with the Quilting Group. My doc gave me a big hug and told me my cholesterol/triglycerides were fantastic! He's also pleased that I have lost 12 pounds since January - and so am I! Now I need to deal with getting more fibre and water AND get back to the gym.

here is a box of Chicken Pincushions. Too cute!

Ruth,
The pincushions are adorable!!! Now if I could just visualize stack and whack coasters.... Great news from your Doc! I think more docs should give hugs.

I'm at the library now using their wifi. I can't get anything done at home right now.

One of these days I'll figure out my new camera and take some pics of the coasters. The chicken pic was from the last batch I made and taken with the camera that is still somewhere in Italy!

Good evening, ladies. Just got done at the gym and am waiting on my roommate to get home so we can go pick out a movie to watch tonight. Our schedules don't permit us much time to hang out together, it seems. Either way, she hasn't been able to find a part time job since moving here and, if she doesn't find one by the end of this month, she's more than likely packing up and moving back to New Jersey.

Ruth - I bet you are ready for that cold weather to move on!!! Sounds like you had a crappy day to start but it also sounds like it got MUCH better as it progressed. And those chicken pincushions are to frigging cute!!!

Cyndi - Glad you lucked out on the snow...and glad you didn't have to drive in that. Hope tomorrow isn't too awful busy for you.

Kara - I actually HATE wine usually, but this wine is just SO good. It's Castello de Poggio brand (served at Olive Garden) and it's Moscato. OMG, so yummy...and that comes from someone who can't stand most wines. Martini and Rossi Asti Spamante is really good, too.

Cottage - Yanno, that was actually some of the best sleep I've had in a while. Maybe I'm on to something!!!

kmac - and Pearlrose - -

WaistingTime - Monday couldn't come soon enough for me!!! I worked all weekend so Monday, for me, is like Saturday...yay Saturmonday!!! So, the "someone" that walked on the top of the car...was this a stranger or a friend of the teen??? My brother's friends used to do stupid stuff w/ his car...his hood was all dented in by the time he got rid of it. For some reason I read that as your BIL is lending you a car but your teen would be CARELESS...LOL Focus, eyeballs...focus.

Claire - Good luck w/ Pilates!!! I've done a little bit and it was really hard for me...I'm thinking I have to be in even better shape before trying it again. LOL

Heidi - Oh I totally get "batman." The only other person in my house that works nights is my brother and he gets home at 2 in the morning as opposed to my 0730 hrs (after gym time, that is).

Amanda - Congrats on another pound down...woot woot!!!

Sharona - Welcome!!! Make yourself at home.

TallandThin - Sorry you don't like the weight training DVD...maybe you can find another one that you like more??? I tried some Tae-Bo the other day and quickly came to the conclusion that Billy Blanks is the devil. No fat person should EVER be told to spread their legs apart and bend over until the top of their head touches the ground...WTF, Billy Blanks!?!?!?

Lexxiss - Awwwww, what a lovely post!!! Yay for no emotional eating!!!

Porthardygurl - Hope the baby's doctor appointment goes well. Hmmmm....did you find the barbecue sauce recipe here or is it one you came up with??? If so, care to share???

Okay, off to Wally World w/ the roomie. Have a good night, everybody!!!
