"breading" chicken with sprinkle parmesean cheese?

  • I did this many years ago when I was in phase 1 with eggplant. I'm starting my diet tomorrow again and thought today I'd use some parmesean sprinkle cheese to coat some boneless chicken I had....it was amazing! Regular grilled breasts are not so appetizeing to me. I've never seen this but I haven't really looked around a ton. Is this acceptable for the diet? I don't think there is much carbs in the sprinkle cheese.

I also mixed the sprinkle cheese with some salt free spice mixture I had.
  • Pick a low fat cheese and you should be okay
  • It's fine to use parmesan cheese as a breading. There is a recipe in our recipe section for a parmesan crusted fish that is very good, and I've seen a recipe for parmesan & almond crusted chicken in one of the South Beach Diet cookbooks.
