Morning! Gotta get ready for Anna's vball game but I thought I'd post and say hi real quick! Going to the store today - loading up on ingredients for SB-friendly Superbowl snacks for me!
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning,
Didn't know I would be waking up to 3+ inches of new snow this morning, DH drove home from Texas last night and was stuck in snow storm the whole way home.
I went outside and slipped on the ice under the snow since I can't see where it is and hit my knee, hopefully it will not bruise.
Gotta go, need to shovel and then I have to take our SUV in to the body shop and get a rental today.
Have a great day today, I will try to come back later for personals

Morning gals!
Making a "jailbreak" this morning- we have pretty much been at home since Monday. The sun is finally out, so some of this stuff should be melting. All local errands within about 3 miles of the house. You northern gals would crack up at what shuts us down around here.
Not doing so well on my nighttime snacking habit here. UGH! That is about my biggest weightloss obstacle. Need to overcome it, that is for sure.
Alright, off to WW, grocery store, and then Half Price Books. Have a great day all!!

Hey chicks. I slept in too. Now I'm goofing off. I think I deserve it. I was exhausted last night, but I went out and got the groceries, since we have ice and freezing rain this morning. But I'd better get to the cleaning soon... Instead I've been recipe shopping and menu planning, much more fun. I think tomorrow I'll make a taco bake, bean brownies, some dal, and deviled eggs to keep me going for the week. Harry Potter is still at the discount theater, so maybe I'll go see it later after the roads clear. Don't know if the kids will want to go again. I saw it before but had to leave before the end because I thought I'd left a burner on and was burning down my house. Which I hadn't. I also want to see Let Me In, which is on pay per view right now, I guess I'm just in a movie mood. I don't often have time to watch anything. And DS desperately needs clothes and a haircut, so maybe I can drag him out shopping. I guess we'll just see what the day brings!

Bought an acorn squash and some baby bok choy. Recipe hunting here I go.
Be careful shoveling and in general.
Hi to you all and I am proud of you.

Morning friend beachers
Oops, this old lady has hit a little bump in the road to a healthy lifestyle. But, if it had to happen again, guess February (heart healthy month) is appropriate. Need you all to send positive thoughts my way as I can sure use them right now. I've had a chronic problem of Atrial Fibrillation most of my life which the Cardiologists have never been able to completely control with meds. After the last cardioversion and stronger medicine, my heart has stayed in a normal rhythm for a year and a half. However, this past Thursday, it slipped back into a-fib and I'm not functioning very well. So the doc is going to try another (thank goodness there isn't a maximum number a person can have) Cardioversion on Monday to stop the heart and hopefully bring it back in a normal rhythm. They will try three times before giving up. Last time, it worked on the third try.
Never thought that I would say this, but I sure miss walking and am afraid that not being able to exercise at all and not feeling well enough to eat right will mess things up and I have been doing so darn good.
That being said, I'm going to stay positive, keep smiling and not give up so think good thoughts for me and hopefully I'll be back in a few days with good news..

TallandThin, May the hands of your doctor be guided by your higher power to bring you back to a heart that beats not only with health but with more love and appreciation of all that is beautiful.

TallandThin Thinking of you! Thank you for letting us know what's going on or we'd be really concerned at your being gone for a bit. Don't worry about your eating and exercise. It will work out because I know in your heart you want it to.
tanner's mom, 7:45 is still early in my book...but hey, don't call me at 830pm 'cause I'm dysfunctional! (but wow did I get alot done)
It's snowing here....silly me...went grocery shopping. The store was packed but I got some wonderful organic produce and some good deals on other stuff. Marcie, you got me thinking about a new vegetable...I got 3. Celery root and parsnips for my 10 Vegetable Stew and a fennel bulb which I have no idea what I'll do with?? I'll make something, though, because we don't waste.
It might be nap time.

Hi
So my day didn't turn out as planned. We did go on a nature trail but only for 40 minutes and it wasn't too far from home.
TallanThin, my DH has afib, he had bypass surgery and they did some procedure on him that works 90% of the time but not for him. He has had three cardioversions worked for a little while and then back to afib, the dr. told him as long as it doesn't bother him and he's on warfin no more cardioversion. Luckily, he doesn't feel it.
Debbie - I have fennel all the time. I braise(almost to the point of caramelizing) finely sliced onions and finely sliced fennel with a little evo and salt and pepper and serve it as a side dish.
have a nice evening everyone
take care
Sophie

Afternoon, ladies. Been busy working this weekend and haven't had much time to check in. I hope everyone is doing well. I missed a lot of afternoon gym trips this week, so I've been busy trying to get those made up. Umm, pretty much nothing else going on that I can think of.
I just realized...this should be the Weekend Chat thread, no???
