A little off topic, but I thought this would make for a good laugh. A couple years ago my dad's doctor told him to have one glass of red wine a night to help keep his heart healthy. I was talking to my dad about it and he said that since he didn't like having wine everyday he would just have 7 on Saturday! That just cracked me up and I had to explain to him why that wasn't the same thing.

That's too bad, eh?

Everything in moderation, and if you enjoy it, don't avoid it, because then you resent the diet and you're more likely to quit.

Well, my first thought when I saw the subject was "Yes."

My problem seems to be during the weekend, when everyone is doing jager shots. I find it's really hard for me to say no. I'm so used to just drinking as much as everyone else, it took me a couple weeks and one awful hangover to realize I just can't drink like that anymore, but it's okay.

Also, my new thing is a white wine spritzer. I get more out of my one or two glasses.

Personally I don't think a couple drinks when out with friends is bad.
However, if you're anything like me, drinking leads to munchies, so I have to either have an iron will, or make sure that I have a little op snack to have afterwards.
Also a word of caution, you are not eating as many carbs as you have in the past, so there will not be as much in your stomach to absorb the alcohol, so take it slow and sip whatever it is you choose to drink, or you may find yourself very sorry the next morning *(personal expirence)*
