Default Quick question

The hunny LOVES plantains, usually cooked in olive or canola oil and lightly salted. I know that Bananas are a no no, but does anyone know about Plantains as a "once in a while" snack. We can also buy them like we buy banana chips.

I think you treat it like any other high carb item, it's something that is definitely a very once in a while thing- definitely not for phase 1 though.

Yup that is what I thought too. They have a glycemic index of 38-40, so yeah.

Bananas are OK in Phase II. From the FAQ's:

Banana, medium-sized (4 oz.)
