My name is Susan and I've been on South Beach since mid-February, but dieting since mid-January. I've lost 50 lb. with 40 of them from SB. I'm kind-of bouncing between P2 and P3 right now. I'd like to lose maybe 20 lb. more, but am also enjoying where I am at right now. My initial goal was to get back into my pre-pregancy clothes (I have a 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 year old, though most of the weight was from my 3 year old's pregnancy!) and have met that goal, and some of my pre-pregnancy clothes are a bit big now too.
I used to post on a SB-specific forum, but it crashed a little while back and I am missing the accountability that it gave me, and being able to relate to others who are on the beach too.
I'm working on giving up my scale obsession, and try to step on it only once a week or less now (instead of daily) and I know that the last 20 lb. could take me quite a while to lose, so I don't want to be hooked on that number so much. I'm still in the "overweight" category for BMI, but feel good and healthy. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of that BMI number! I also work out 2-3 times a week on an elliptical.
I love to cook, and never really followed the recipes in the SB diet book, but instead started converting my old recipes to healthier ones.
