Rum and diet coke should work but can you stick to just one? I've always found the issue with alcohol isn't what the first drink is as much as how many more drinks I have and how bad my food choices get after
I usually drink wine but order a glass of wine and a glass of seltzer. I like having something to sip and the seltzer helps me limit the wine, if that makes sense. Make sure there are SBD safe nibbles around all weekend so you don't find yourself straying to the chips with your drink.
