Cottage, the deluge yesterday just made things steamy. This is the hottest summer on record according to Environment Canada. The forecast is for three more hot days and then a bit cooler (79º) towards the end of the week. I'd love to open all the windows and air out the house!
Debbie, give Rudi a skritch behind the ears for me. I wish you could be at the Fair with me today too! My friend Christine, a vet tech, will be there with me giving out samples of healthy pet treats but we sure could use one more adult. I know there will be an Irish Wolfhound with a six year old handler. I imagine he'll win biggest pet unless someone brings a big pony.
Had a great time at a party last night. Started raining right as we were leaving. Then started really storming around 12:30 and hasn't let up...Bonnie is now dumping tons of rain along with huge lightening and constant rolling thunder. One of my dogs (Eclair DeLune) is terrified and wants to stay on my lap...and she is NOT a lap dog. Wish I would have known how scared she was going to be..I would have asked the vet for "storm drugs". Note to self for next time.
Good morning chicks. Sounds like heat and heavy rain are the norm for us all. Got my bike ride in yesterday (yahoo for two in a row now) but not today because the path will be too muddy. My big excitement this weekend was that my teen picked up his room! (You would not believe how he keeps it in there.) This is the the advantage to letting him have a friend visit for a week from out-of-town. I was so inspired I did some cleaning in my own room.
