Default Hot and Sunny July Exercise Challenge

It's July, the sun is out and the days are long. It's time to put away the excuses and grab your sneakers, bike, kayak, rollerblades or bathing suit. What's your exercise plan for the beautiful July days?
This is a great place for experienced exercisers and newbies so whether your goal is 3000 minutes or 300 minutes if you are a Beacher please join us. Regular exercising is the key to turning exercise into a healthy habit. This is a great place to keep track and stay accountable.



Okay, June pretty much stunk for me. Way too many days off for oh so many "good" reasons. It's time to get back on track.
Goal: 2000 minutes with at least 10 minutes every single day, weights 3X/wk

Total so far: 1321 minutes

1 - 60m treadmill
2 - 60m bike ride (10miles)
3 - 70m bike ride (13.6 miles)

4 - 33m bike ride (6.5 miles) + 70m walking
5 - whale watch
6 - too hot
7 - too hot
8 - too hot
9 - 60m walk, 20m swim
10 - 100m walk, 50m kayak

11 - 30m walk, 60m hike
12
13 - 60m exercise bike
14
15 - 30m walk
16
17 - 90m exercise bike

18 - 50m walk
19
20 - 50m walk
21 - 65m stationary bike
22 - 50m walk
23 - 55m walk
24 - 80m walk, 30m stationary bike

Baby steps, getting back on track 2015. Moving the next 10 lbs by the end of the summer.


Maintaining 48 lb loss since 2008, working off regain to a sensible maintenance level. 60 lbs and counting!

Goal is to exercise 4x per week with 2 of those days including strength training.

1- 30 minutes cybex cardio and 40 minutes strength and lifting.
2 - rest
3 - 60 minutes cybex and treadmill

4 - 13 mile rolling hills bike ride

This is my first month joining this thread I'm almost a full month on SB and have lost 10 lbs and have developed an addiction to swimming. I want work out 5x a week for 60 mins.

Late to the game, as I have been away, but at least I had some activity on my vacation. Same goal as last time, 1 hour/day = 1860 for July.

Goal: 1860
Current Total: 1790 ugh - I missed my goal by 70 min
But on the bright side, I never thought I'd be at the point where I consider *1790 minutes of exercise in a month* a failure

Mini-goal #4 (ala Beck Diet Solution): Lose 5 pounds AGAIN. Start date: July 20,2015 (last time took 60 days)
LABOR DAY CHALLENGE: Just stick to IP (Started 4/29) until Labor Day, no weight goal. Start exercising daily, even if it is just walking.
