Hi ladies!
Hmm, my weight hasn't budged in 3 days- even though I'm eating clean in p1 and far less than before. Sure enough, this morning, Aunt Flo came to visit..
Hmm I wonder does your cycle completely have to be over to stop the stall? Or the 2nd or 3rd day of AF it releases the extra sodium or water??!? It'd be kinda nice to see a small drop, even .5 of a lb.

FCMonroe- it's super easy. I got it from the SBD recipe section of he site. Basically just take 2 pcs of low fat string cheese, put them in a frying pan on med heat with a tsp of olive oil. Make sure the bottoms are lubed. LOL Then heat until the top of the cheese stick is melted. Don't touch them until it is!!
If they start to brown on the edge before the top is done, turn down the heat. Once the top is melted, sprinkle on a bit of granulated garlic powder. Slide out of the pan onto a plate, and let it set for a few minutes to harden.
If you like cheese and garlic bread, I think you'll like them. And they're very satisfying from the fat in them, good for late night munchies.

Twynn- That sounds like a fabulous idea having the kids pick out their own veg. I am super lazy but I think ds might get a kick out of it. Im sure some varieties woulod be ok for "container planting" on the deck? My mom does tomatoes that way, I wonder if any other veg can be done that way as well?
Anything that kind of takes care of itself?

Still going to take the kids to the fun centre ater lunch, just finishing up my coffee. Already had lots of protein and some spaghtti squash for lunch, as well as 2 psyllium pills as I have been getting the munchies too much lately..
so hopefully that will do me for awhile.
If not, I'll get a coffee and chew some sf gum while there. A girl with a plan! LOL

Have a great day, girls!

Jenny, I can sympathize with you on your basement cleanup. We went through all that when a pipe broke in the wall and flooded our finished basement with 3" of water. What a mess! We had a long battle with the insurance company, but just recently settled with them. We decided not to redo the basement again, though. We just painted and put area rugs down so the grandkids will still have a nice place to play and call their own. I hope your process goes faster and smoother than ours did!

I just finished putting a fresh coat of paint on my little bistro table and chairs that I have on the patio, and they look brand new. Jake is having a good ol' time removing our kitchen countertops in prep for the new ones to be installed on Friday. My kitchen is going to be in chaos all week, but I just keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end.

It was an absolutely perfect day by anyone's standards but spectacular by birder standards. Warblers all over the place and a life bird and a half for us (1 we have never seen, 1 I've only seen once at a long distance). We spent the day walking everywhere and are exhausted and happy. Hope you all had at least a little of that today Now for dinner and wine then an early bed (we were on the road at 5:30).

Lovely day and more to come. Jazz passed his test with flying colours and charmed everyone including the Great Dane. Too funny! Moel, my neighbour, just installed the pump at the well behind the barn so I am all set to get my veggies planted! Maybe Wednesday - this is a busy week.

Let's all have a good night's sleep and wake up full of P & V for tomorrow!
