Wednesday Beachin'
BBRrrrrrr, it's a cold morning! But at least we don't have any of that white stuff on the ground. We didn't turn the heat on last night, so I'm trying to warm up with a hot cup of coffee. It's hard to believe it's supposed to be in the 80s by the weekend.
I'm spending the morning with Susie & Ramsay, and the rest of the day at Cindy's. The girls have guitar lessons after school, but I should still be able to get home shortly after 5 to have supper with Jake. Today's our 41st anniversary, but we're going to wait until this weekend to celebrate.
How's your Hump Day shaping up? Make it a good one!

Good morning Cottage. Your weather sounds like ours though I bet we are a few degrees colder. I'm just happy not to see any white stuff on the ground. Can't believe it's supposed to be almost 80 in 3 days! Crazy weather
Happy Anniversary! That's quite an accomplishment. Do you have something special planned for the weekend?
I think it will be a normal and mellow day around here. The last two days have been so hectic my desk is frightening. It will be good to be back to routine.
Now I am definitely counting down to the weekend Happy Hump Day all

Happy Anniversary Cottage! 41 years is an accomplishment. DH and I will have our 7 year anniversary this November. Do things really shift at 7 years, i.e. the 7 year itch?
I slept badly last night, but only really because I felt excited. Last night I totally organized all my cds which for me is like the photo project but way mini. My cd's represent all stages of my life. Yesterday I had my last session with my CBT. It was SO valuable for me to see him for those 6 sessions. This weekend I had a very freudian dream about letting go of "bad" parts of myself. Somehow this Mercury retrograde period is working well for me rather than being disasterous.
Hope everyone has a great day! I was on plan yesterday again.

Good morning, Mmck, Cyndi and Cottage and a Happy Anniversary to you and Jake, Linda! There's a full moon tonight in your honour. It's the Pink Moon according the the Farmers' Almanac.
Paul's back was still bad yesterday so I had another home "alone" day with the dogs and got a lot of quilting done. I need a gift for a baby shower Saturday and this will probably be it. Jazz and I did pet therapy in the afternoon and he was as good as gold. I think he knows his test is Sunday. I'll have him do the session at the clinic today and that should be enough practice.
No gardening on today's schedule because it's drizzling. Maybe I'll get my CDs sorted today. I notice they sure need dusting from the house construction work. Donna doesn't seem to dust CDs or books!
Happy beachin'.

Good morning ladies
Congratulations Cottage - Happy Anniversary!
No white stuff on the ground here, either. Hip! Hip! Hooray! It snowed off and on overnight but nothing stuck. That's supposed to continue during the day today, but if it didn't stick overnight, I'm not worried about it sticking now that the sun is up. This is one time when I'm thrilled that the forecasters were wrong.
I've got a busy day today with meetings before and after school and then youth group tonight. I just have to get through today and tonight though, then I can head back to Massachusetts tomorrow afternoon. Yesterday was another really difficult day for my father, they're going to increase his long acting morphine today, and hopefully that will make a difference for him. It is much harder being home than I thought it would be, but at least I've got the phone and email.
Enjoy your Wednesday friends!

Thanks, girls. I'm not exactly sure how we're going to celebrate. We're looking at new countertop for the kitchen, and I think that will be our present to each other. The kids will all be here on Saturday, so we'll probably throw something on the grill for supper.
Heidi, I hope upping the meds will help your father be more comfortable. You're all in my prayers.

Heidi - wow, sorry you and your dad are having to go thru this. I hope he is comfortable.
Cottage - happy anniversary!! VERY admirable!
I apparently had to make up yesterday for not working Monday, I was pretty busy. A friend's dog is looking quite bad, and it's hard to see him like that. But today, should be short, and maybe I can get a desperately needed run in. My eating was a bunch better the last couple of days too, it was like someone flipped a switch! Phew!
Have a great one!

Good Morning
Linda, Happy Anniversery!
Heidi,
Ruth,
Cyndi, the weekend is almost here! haha
Twynn, good when eating is good!
Mmc, great eating on plan!
As you can see, I'm on the run this morning...don't have time to chat but wanted to say hi. I haven't even had coffee yet That's next and I have an annual report for the rescue group that I have exactlly 1 hr to complete if I want to ride in to exercise class then go have breakfast with the crew. Normally, I'd have time but with company and special events it's harder than usual. I love volunteering, but you'd think that they could give more than 4 days notice on this report. PITA .
Have a great day everyone

Linda - 41 years! Congratulations.
Cyndi - Normal and mellow sounds good.
Mmc - I'm glad your CBT was so helpful. I know nothing about that stuff. Will you be writing about it in your blog?
Ruth - Poor Paul. I have to admit that when we repainted our bookshelves a few years back I got some pretty boxes for our small cd collection and put them out of sight. They are organized but hidden.
Heidi -
Twynn- I need that person to flip a switch for me!
Debbie - I hope you are enjoying your company, despite having so little time.
I have now overeaten for two days. The food was all in theory on plan; I managed not to stray that far. But I ate tons, and tons and tons. So much that when my neighbor invited me to walk I turned her down because my stomach felt like crap. Red flag! So since it always starts with a grain, I am going to cut those out for a while. I am not going to start a long slide of gain. I WILL NOT! Sigh.
On a happier note, DS1 booked his flight home for a week at the end of the semester and DS2 is getting inducted into the Spanish Honor Society tonight.

Quick check in for me...
Just got back from our first midwife appointment. I really like her! She's very calm and laid back and didn't freak out when we declined all the crazy tests. We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time, too! I gained a half pound in the last two weeks, which isn't too bad considering I spent ten of the last fourteen days in Italy and I *may* have had some gelato...almost every day... Guess all the walking we did was good!
Off to get the girls from Kindy and then we have martial arts and baseball this afternoon. I'll try to check in tonight and do personals, but in case I don't make it back, HI EVERYBODEEEEEEE!

Good morning all! Quick check in for me as well this a.m. My mom is coming over and we are hanging out all day (she'll be working on her laptop most of the time, but I'll take it!)
I'm bummed that I haven't lost any more weight, I'm still right where I was after finishing Phase 1. Still doing only 1 grain and 1 fruit a day. Should I cut back to just 1 fruit and no grains? I'm so confused.

Morning chickies. You are all such an early bunch!
Glad you like the midwife Kara!
Chelsea - maybe it's the type of fruit or grain? Maybe try one without the other? Or try a different kind?
 Heidi
For me, busy at work. Gym tonight - couldn't go last night sadly. Too much in the cramping department! Cruise on Dec 4 and then my BFF is getting married in Oct 2012 and I am the Matron of Honor!!! Good reasons to get back on this horse for real!

Kara- glad you found a midwife you are happy with
Heidi- you are in my prayers.
My oldest sister yesterday had double knee replacement surgery yesterday- she was in major pain yesterday so please keep her in your prayers.
Our bathtub is clogged and nothing seems to be working so I may be calling the plumber today- DH is at home trying a couple more things first.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Cottage, HAPPY 41st ANNIVERSARY!!!
Cyndi, enjoy your mellow day.
Mmc, you sure have need a lil organizing machine lately! Keep up the good work!
Ruth, I hope Paul's back feels better soon. Sounds like your quilt is coming along nicely!
Heidi, you sound really busy. I'm glad you'll be able to get back to your folks soon. I hope the meds make a difference for your dad.
Twynn, I hope your workday is short!
Debbie, I hope you get your report done!! Have a great day!
Karen, I know you can do it! You WILL NOT slide down the weight-gain-slope!! I have faith in you
Kara, congratulations on your baby!!
Chelsea, I'm sorry your stuck. I'd suggest maybe drinking more water and increasing the length or intensity of your workout... I hope that helps! Don't give up!!
Jenn, Have a great day!
Pearl, I'll be praying for your sister, ouch! Good luck with the tub!
Something is wrong with my doggie. He's being really lethargic and has opaque yellow eye mucus, as opposed to the normally clear mucus. He's eating, drinking, and pooping so that's good, but I'm worried about him. Unfortunately, our vet office closed a couple months ago and we haven't needed a new vet so we never bothered to find one (also, we were hoping our old vet would work somewhere else and contact us). I don't know what to do! Find another vet and take him, or leave him be and monitor him? I just don't know. I hate to see my lil love bug like this. Luckily I don't have class until 6 pm so I can be home with him. I know this is a SBD forum, but I've noticed that most of you are dog people, any suggestions? Thank you so much!
