Default V8 dress-ups?

So I'm starting to feel ill at the idea of drinking my routine 1 cup of v8 a day. All the recipes I've found online to jazz it up all involve spicy things. I can't take spicy - so does anyone have any other ideas of suggestions?

I like to mix tomato juice with seltzer and little woerstershire sauce. It gives it a little bite but not spicy. In Canada (hi Ruth!!) I hear they use beer in place of seltzer and call it a "red eye."

Remember there's no reason you must drink V8. Whole vegetables are a much better choice.

LOL Cyndi - I was just thinking....how I dislike V8. I kept watching the thread to see if someone would give a way I might like it....guess I'll stick to my celery sticks!

I had a V8 yesterday for the first time in months. I was on the road and needed something to wake me up. I was not, however, desperate enough to drink convenience store coffee It worked well for that and was a better choice then some of the other options.

Acutally, I used to dislike V8 and now I love it! The only difference is that I drink it so cold that there are ice crystals in it! If it isn't super cold then I think I'm drinking last night's tomato soup - yuck.

Try it - couldn't hurt!

I used to hate it also but I started adding a little dash of pepper and lemon juice and it made it palatable. Now I can drink it straight from the can but in the begining it wasn't a good thing.

Is it all spices that you can't have or just the hot spicy-like pepper and hot stuff? Maybe you could try some other type of spice you can handle rosemary, tyme, italian seasonings. Stuff like that and just try it and see what tastes better. And also remember you don't have to choke it down if you don't like it.

Good luck
Sarah
