Who needs pizza?
So it's my 8th day of of a totally clean phase 1. In my classroom, the after school program bought us pizza. I had to serve it. Didn't know how i'd feel about that. I looked at it and I had absolutely no desire to have a piece. It felt great! I didn't have a craving, I didn't even want it. I was asked several times by kids and teachers if i was going to have some and i just said, "no thanks". I couldn't believe it. In the past, I would eat pizza just to eat it, cuz it was there, not because of hunger, but because.....it was pizza. I was that way with a lot of things, brownies, cake, bread, etc. I totally see why phase 1 is so important! I really really like not having cravings!
By the way, I lost 4.2 pounds this week!

Good job! I can totally relate- the lack of cravings has amazed me,too. I have two little boys and they still eat many things that I don't now. Just last night I made a sandwich for my oldest with a side of chips and had no desire for any of that. There are chips (which I could not resist in the past) in my pantry and they don't even cross my mind!

Same here. I have had moments of craving, but for very specific things (i.e. a glazed donut) but they are easily identifiable as cravings, not just some evil thought in my head that says 'must have donut' and I'm able to acknowledge them and then let them go.

a recipe
Well, I thought I'd share, cause these are phases friendly and YUMMO!! I created this out of a need to make "pizza" for myself, when my family wants it, w/o me having the bread, flour part of it...
Take a lg zucchini, slice it 1/4" thick or so at an angle...spread pizza (tomato based) sauce on the slices, dice up canadian bacon, ham, LF sausage, whatever and put on top of the sauce and zucchini slices, chop up FRESH basil put on, sprinkle with LF shredded mozz and prm cheese. Have all the pieces on sprayed cookie sheet then drizzle all w olive oil, fresh black pepper and bake @ 400, for about 15 min, just watch it, maybe more depending on oven.
I have made this with lots of diff toppings, they are so good! I usually have this w/ a pc of steak, other lean meat and it is really yummy and satisfying. I watch the family eat the pizza and I stay in control...
