I'm definitely in again. Just have to decide what to do this time. I was a bit over ambitious last time

How's this for a graphic?
I used my winter one as a link to the thread - it made my daily posts quicker/easier.

Very cute Heidi! Did you do that one-handed? How's your arm/wrist?

Yup - one handed.
Typing is a nuisance, but I love GIMP so I stuck with it. lol
I'm feeling battered. And old. But I'll survive.
My wrist is bruised and slightly swollen but I've got full movement and I'm confident that it's going to be fine. I broke this same wrist a few years ago, so I've got a basis of comparison.
I'm still icing it and plan to go to school in the morning. Thanks for asking.

I think I will do 20 min of exercise 7 days a week. I would also like to make it a double by saying I have to drink x number of water a day.
I know I should do more than 20 min of exercise, but I am just starting and 20 min a day would help give me a good basis.
Tammie
Glad the wrist is ok.

I will definitely be in- but have to think about what I NEED to commit to...I also will be gone until the 1st without access to the computer so I will try to figure out my goals before I head to Vegas!
I didn't participate last time so let me get this straight- we commit to something(s) that we get 2pts a day for? for example...
drinking 60oz water and no sodas 1 pt for each?
or working out 4 days per week... that would be 3.5pts for each day worked out in the week?(3.5*4=7*2=14 possible pts per week)
or if I wanted to workout 4 days per week and drink 60oz water that would be 1.75pts per workout and 1pt per day for water? that way I would have my 14pts per week if I did all of my goals...

Heidi, cute graphic and one handed? Color me impressed!
Can I do a goal of exercise (at least 25 of cardio/day) 3 days a week then the rest of the 4 get an extra 22 oz (my nalgene) of water in? I am always walking to and from the Metro and walking the escalators now so I don't want to feel like I am cheating...

I would like to participate too! My goal will be to drink at least 64 oz of WATER each day. This has been difficult for me in the past, because I LOVE coffee!! I actually started doing this last Friday when I didn't have such a good weight loss and looked back at my food journal and realized there were some days where I didn't drink one drip of water! Bad!! So, with the prospect of a "virtual prize" looming in front of me...I'm sure I can do it!
I'm a little confused at the details of the challenge, but I'm sure that'll be explained...right?

You only need one goal. A few people squeezed in more than 1 last time, but it's much easier to just focus on ONE habit that you want to change for the challenge.
You get 1 point for completing whatever it is you've decided to do for the day - and the second point is for posting in the thread that day.
Yesterday I had my 3 servings of dairy so I got 1 point for that and because I posted in the thread on the 26th, I got my second point for that.
On days I didn't get all 3 servings in I was still able to get 1 point if I posted that I hadn't met the goal. And on days I drank all my milk/yogurt but didn't get back online to post, I still got 1 point for meeting the dairy goal.
The Holiday Challenge ends today, so I'll start the Official Spring Challenge thread tonight or tomorrow. I'll put a link in this thread.

Just a suggestion, Tammie, after commiting to 7 day/week exercise during the last challenge, I would highly recommend 6 and add something extra for the 7th day. I exercise lots outside my house, and my goal was 7x/wk at home. Never ever having a day off was a burn out, and since I'm trying to form new healthy habits, I'm going to come up with something else on Sunday-such as planning menus for the week....if you want to go for 7 more power to you!
ETA-Of course, I don't have a Wii, which might make 7 much easier.

Good point Debbie.
I was thinking I would do some form of "organzied exercise" Mon-Fri. Then on Sat and Sun do something with the kids either play the wii, go for a walk, go to the park, take dogs walking. Somehting like that.

I'm in. I got frustrated in the winter challenge because my goal was steep. I need to think on a different one. On a positive note, though, even though I gave up on the challenge, I'm eating at least three servings of vegetables a day, sometimes as many as six! So the spirit of the challenge worked even though I got frustrated by trying to make 4.5 cups every day.

That's why I thought of a goal of exercise 3x a week - if it's just that, I am already a bajillion points behind. UNless I give myself "yay NO exercise" points
Hence, extra water on those days I am not working out. If that's not ok, let me know and I will drop out.
