Busy day here, looks like lots are on holiday. Thanks, Kierie, for giving us a moment to reflect....what's your knitting question? Sophie might be better than I at answering.
Cat, I knit hats, because they're easy and look nice.
Karen, I wonder if anything wakes the kids in the morning?
Heidi, I hope the weather cooperates.
Cat, your party sounded fun!
Ruth, the meat man and I were both confused about the date!
Oops
Tammie, yuck, hope DD feels better!
Kim, glad to hear you have a day off. Hope that "you" time fits into the day. BTW-I did go to the pool for a class, but this low impact land class is just my speed!
Pearlrose, I'll bet that dryer can't get there soon enough!!
FoodObsessed, best wishes for your interview today.
ETA-Hi Sophie!

Geez, it's still early. I left the house at 630 this morning. Time for a snack!

Hello chicks- I thought I was going to have a very productive day- let me recap... Got up for my 9am dr appt, after went to walmart to get some groceries, as I am running back and forth trying to put the items on the belt as well as bag them in the bags we bring(go green! yeay!) I tell the cashier- this always goes so much smoother when DH is here... walking out I look at my watch and its only 11, I decide today is going to be a VERY productive day... I lift the cat litter into the trunk and then the cat food, then comes the 50lb bag of dog food. I pick it up and crack. yep... threw my back out. I barely got the dog food in the car, and the rest of the groceries... Needless to say all except the perishables that I very carefully carried into the house are still in the trunk. and I trucked it right back to the Drs told them I promise I am not just trying to fill my medicine cabinet but had once again(this happend almost a year ago) thrown my back out. she pushed around a couple spots on my lower back till she found exactly the right spot to push that almost threw me off the table. Steroids and pain relievers and rest for me the next couple days. Just when I was getting back to the gym, getting things accomplished I am now STUCK. UGH. I had lost a few lbs since I was in there last though... lol and my medical insurance hadn't contacted the RX provider so all my meds had to come out of pocket- thank goodness she wrote all that could be generic. I apologize for the long rant post... I am hoping to be in better spirits tomorrow... I suppose at least it happened now and not right before my bday vacation... Staying on track all except the exercise... and I will be back at that asap!

thanks sweets! I sure hope so too! a couple days with the steroids, pain meds and rest and I will be good... at least that is how it went the last time- except this time I didn't wait 4 days before I went to the DR, I immediately knew what I had done. Must mean I need to work on my core strength!

The interview didn't go like I wanted it to go (sigh). I'm still holding out hope though. Thanks for your well wishes.

Wow - too much news to reply to each. So just checking back in to say "Have a great day and week" to those who posted after me

DH paid for a 3-month fitness class membership at my gym today so is committing to yoga with me! Looks like I am now committed too.

Off to snack on peanuts...

Hello all! I'm new here! Just started Phase 1 today. =)

I offically have less than a week left of my winter vacation before classes start again on Monday. =( Maybe it's a good thing... I've been very lazy here at home and I'm very excited for my classes next semester (Costuming and Tai Chi, just to mention 2/5).

Got to see my godson today! He's adorable, only 2! My aunt and cousin were over too- we played Wii Fit with my mom. My aunt is very uncoordinated. Hopefully seeing Avatar with the family tonight. =)

Hope everyone is enjoying their day off!

Welcome Kate,
Hey, I know Northampton, one of my favourite towns because I go to WEBS a yarn store warehouse there from time to time to stock up on my weaving supplies. Nice town. You will get lots of support here.
take care
Sophie

Nice to meet you Kate! I grew up outside Boston but live in Kansas now. Big difference! I've been on the board here for 3 weeks and found it a great help with my motivation. Check in often!

Sophie - I go to school up in MA, I'm originally from Long Island but I LOVE Northampton. I think I know the shop you're talking about. Its such an artsy town. =)

Waisting & Cottage - Thanks a bunch! Today's been pretty good, here's hoping it stays that way, lol.
