The "On Plan" Thread for the Week of 11/23/09
It's time for a new week of talking On-Plan!
Quote:
* Anyone, from any phase (1, 1.5, 2, 3, etc.) can post, and those who are new to 3FC are especially encouraged to do so!
* This thread is for questions, sharing advice and strategies, and encouraging each other to stay on plan. It is not for chatting about daily life unrelated to this topic. Members have indicated that they would like to have chatting remain in the Daily Thread, so any posts that are off topic or chatty will be moved by the mods to the Daily.
* Because people from different parts of the plan are posting here, it'll help everyone if you indicate what phase you're in when you post. Thanks!
* While you may certainly find, from time to time, the need to ask for help after going off plan, remember that this thread is about staying on plan. When you share details of off plan foods you've eaten, it can upset, tempt, and otherwise frustrate other members, so please keep these details to a minimum.
So, share with us: How are you staying on plan this week?

I am REALLY going to need this thread this week, I've got family arriving starting tomorrow and they'll be here through the weekend. (Hooray - I've been waiting so long for Thanksgiving to get here! ) I've got lots of OP snacks for myself but I'm really going to have to work to keep myself from eating the things I've baked for them and the things that they're bringing.
B: Oatmeal, milk and a V8
S: yogurt
L: 3 bean salad and turkey
S: pistachios
D: Broccoli soup, SF jello
Chocolate milk shake sometime in the evening.
I WILL walk after school, no matter how I feel and no matter who is or isn't around to walk with....

I started doing SB seriously again last week, and so far so good. Planned for today:
Breakfast - oatmeal and walnuts
snack: got up too late; won't need one
Lunch: 3 meatballs, salad
snack: yogurt
Dinner: leftover lentil stew (Beach Gal's recipe on the dinner thread; tons of vegetables!)
I am going out for Thanksgiving dinner. It's a 20-year traddition with a good friend. Except for the bread (which I'll avoid) and the dessert (which I may not) there are SB friendly things on the menu.

Glad to see people posting in here! I'll be in, on and off, since today's my only day of work this week, but I'm sure you'll all do well! Here's some to help!
Be sure to check out the holiday emergency thread in the FAQ, the holiday recipe threads in the recipe forum, and the holiday thread in this forum for tips, encouragement, and advice. Together, we'll make it through this holiday OP!

Hi! I'm doing fine on plan, just not fine n posting. Got through Thanksgiving with only minor sins, and back OP today.
I've changed my ticker/profile to reflect my starting weight NOW. I've been living off "well I've lost 30/35/40 pounds" for nearly a year This is part of my commitment.
Today:
eggs scrambled with sliced mushrooms and green onions
chicken breast, asparagus
honeycrisp apple
sirloin steak (very tough and generally awful), spinach

I've been too busy to post too - but having a wonderful week!
Even though I'd planned to go OP on Thanksgiving, I was down a pound Thursday morning and I guess that made those OP things I thought I wanted look less appealing. lol (Of course, I've still got a few things in the house that I wish weren't here.... so I'm not out of the woods yet. )
B: oatmeal, milk, v8
S: yogurt
L: Broccoli soup
S: pistachios or almonds
D: chicken in green sauce and quinoa (my daughter is cooking )
A choc shake while watching TV
