When you're on Ph1 and you struggle to do something that you REGULARLY would do, say, on a REGULAR basis, and then you finally do that REGULAR ol' thing......
Fluff, I was a grade school secretary for about a year (that's how much patience I had for the requirements of THAT job.) Worst job I ever had. Hated it. Also had to sit there and wasn't allowed my 30 minute break that Federal Government said I must take since I was not managerial salaried.
That is.... until I mentioned that the Federal Government required that they let me take my 30 minute break, and that didn't mean I was allowed to eat at my desk for 30 minutes, or I was allowed to go into a separate room where I could still hear if someone came in or the phone rang for 30 minutes, that I was allowed to do whatever the %&*^$! I wanted to do for 30 minutes.
They weren't surprised when I quit.
I'm actually the Career Development Facilitator at a High School. WHen I started they hadn't hired the new secretary so I was up in the front office for a bit. NOW they hired this new lady who is useless. I have an 'office' in the back of the library where I am supposed to be but I can't get out of there long enough to do anything with it...Its just a desk and a filiing cabinet right now.
I hated working in the front office. It is not a job for me thats for sure. It really bothered me that I have my BA and thats what I got stuck with because of the budget here. I worked really hard to earn it, and it seems I'll never have a classroom.
