I've really got to stay away from the alcohol so more power to you guys who indulge. A few years ago, before marriage & toddler, I was into the party scene and could chug the beers with the best of the men. This would lead me to binging on fast food and etc without thinking or paying attention to what I was eating. I paid the price, because that's how I gained all of my weight to begin with, drinking. Alcohol really DOES pack on the pounds and if you're the type who tends to overeat when drunk/tipsy, it magnifies the problem even worse.
I wish I could just have a shot or just a glass of wine, but I don't have control when it comes to alcohol so I try to mainly avoid it. 2 weeks ago I drank for the first time in awhile. I first started with a few beers with some friends and then moved on to taking shots with them! Oh the horrors. It's something I know I must avoid if I want to do this.
Gothik Butterfly, good luck! You could always have a mixed drink with splenda and sparkling water or something so you don't feel like you're missing out when everyone else is indulging.
