Good Sunday morning from chilly Delta where the trees are really starting to change.
They just revised the weather forecast to showers so I am adjusting my plans. Church at 8:30 and then indoor stuff instead of my planned gardening clean-up! I am getting frustrated by the weather and trying to rise above it! I just may break mt no-Sunday-Shopping rule and do a bit of retail therapy AFTER I get this crack-house in order. On the other hand, it might be a good afternoon for some sewing or a nap!
What are your Sunday plans, keeping in mind that it's supposed to be a day of rest.

Good morning I'm just working on my first cup of coffee. We actually slept in this morning!
Ruth - Weather forecasters are completely untrustworthy. An afternoon of rest and relaxation with a good book sounds wonderful. I might have to borrow that idea
Chelby - Wow, a nonprofit that actually pays you for working Saturday. Nice!
Kierie - Did you post that cereal recipe? I might have to try it
Sunshine - Congratulations on successfully integrating healthy eating with busy days. Bet you feel great.
Debbie - I know you are out there in pumpkin land
Not sure exactly what's on tap for today. We had been thinking about a day trip then the forecast looked dicey so we thought we might just do stuff around here. I think it's home mostly even though the forecast looks better again. I want to get a pie pumpkin and make another batch of butter with more pumpkin to apple this time. Apple picking also sounds good to me. Next weekend is shot because I'm off to the parents again, so want to get some stuff in this weekend.
How is your Sunday shaping up?

Good morning, Girls.
Cyn, I'm just enjoying my first cup of coffee, too. I woke up early, but decided to luxuriate (sp?) in bed for a while, until the smell of coffee lured me downstairs.
It's a blue and gold day here, Ruth. Hop in your car and come on down to soak up the sun! I wish I could send some to you and Cyndi!
I have to get groceries this morning, and squeeze in an overdue visit to Mom & Dad. We're finally going to get all the plants settled in their new homes that Jake bought at the auction last week, too, and I have 3 apple cakes promised out that I have to make today. The kids will be here for supper, so have to work on that, too. I want to get out my Fall decorations, but that may have to wait until tomorrow. Sheesh, take a day off and it all just piles up!

Good Morning Everyone
Happy Sunday!
I got way to deep in pumpkin yesterday to get back. I don't know what I was thinking when I scrubbed the kitchen floor first thing. 2 pumpkins yielded almost 40 cups and I'm freezing this batch....geez only 8 to go.
Schmoodle, my DH has been dehydrating fruit for years, but I really jumped in when I realized how SB friendly it is. I, like Cyndi, have a Nesco. Hope you had a fun crab-fest.
Gothik, love your hat! How's your voice? Better, I hope.
Sunshine, I'm always glad to hear of your continued success w/SB since it's a hard time of year for you. Hope you stay well, too.
Kierie, knitting and tea sounds wonderful. I feel so good when I go out for dinner and stay OP. Victory!
Ruth, sorry the weather isn't cooperating but church, shopping and crafting sounds nice-and possibly relaxing.
Cyndi, sorry your day trip didn't pan out, but being a homebody sounds OK, too.
Cottage, glad to hear you have a nice day to enjoy your multitude of activities. My fall decorations consist of pumpkins in the laundry room.
Chelby, what's up on your agenda today?
I'm going to finish cleaning from the pumpkin fest and sh process some chiles. Kirk is finishing the stairway so no church, since Mom is coming tomorrow. I think I'll make Chile Rellenos for a breakfast treat and will try some pumpkin concoction later. It looks like we are going to foster a young Cocker rescue so I need to prepare for a burst of energy. Rudi's walk fits in somewhere.
Have a sunny day everyone, regardless of the weather!

Debbie - Have you seen this one, Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Custard? I made it last fall and it was really yummy. Have fun with the puppy Hope Rudi enjoys the company once he shows him who is in charge!

Mmm...Cyndi, thanks. We'll try it for breakfast and move Rellenos to lunch. Stomper is coming from Kansas through a rescue who will transfer him to our rescue late Wednesday. He then stays in foster in Denver until someone can get him here. We'll have to wait patiently, but Kirk thinks he's the one.

Good morning,
Sounds like everyone is having a nice weekend. Didn't get to drop in yesterday as we were busy. Went to eckerts farm so DD2 could pick a pumpkin and then she had soccer game and then we went to 6 Flags with DS and his girlfriend. A nice way to get to know her a little better.
Today off to church and then have to run DH cell phone in to get checked out it will not turn on- hopefully don't need a new one.
Enjoy your Sunday ladies...

Cyndi, the PP Oatmeal was great! Good way to get a little extra protein.
Top o' the Mornin', Kierie. Good job! Attack that adipose early! Rellenos are stuffed southwestern peppers, poblano or anaheim. Peppers are roasted and peeled, stuffed with cheese, and traditionally battered with egg and flour. I just stuff them or pan fry them and add egg beaters. Sometimes I just sprinkle a little cheese on top. Mmm..
If you PM me the Apple Cake recipe, I'd love to SB it. Have a very D day!
 Pearlrose, nice chatting with you.

mornin ladies!
I'm feeling lazy and hazy this morning.. haven't woken up quite yet but I need some help. Does anyone have any ideas.......
a friend wants me to come help her paint today. I am still in phase 1 and need to come up with food to bring with me (that costs very little) to eat during the day. I will eat breakfast before I go... but I'll be there for 1 snack and 1 meal for sure. I don't think I can cook anything because they haven't moved into the place yet so no pots n pans...

Apparently the USDA doesn't think pumpkin butter should be canned. Darn. Guess I'm off to the hardware store for good freezer containers.

Hi everyone!
I have a cold. Will someone feel sorry for me?
We went to the Flea Market this morning. Jeff found an air-powered seat for a tractor trailer rig. Does't everyone need one of those? I got Auston two pairs of jeans because he has grown out of last winter's jeans. It's just now cool enough to start wearing longs (as opposed to shorts). We actually sat in the pavilion with the propane heater blowing today. It's about 65 degrees now. Brrr!
Cyndi -- I get paid for Saturdays and anything over 40 hours because I'm hourly, not salary.
I'm off to take a nap. Hope your afternoon is loverly!

Thanks, Debbie, I feel much better.
My sister rescues weimriener (I'm sure that's not spelled right) dogs. Not too long ago, she took an abandoned litter of puppies to Houston, where they were shipped all over the place. The dogs we end up with are usually dogs who were dropped off or strays. Sparkit is the first puppy I've every had that someone PAID for!
