Thank you for the suggestion but I can't seem to locate the sticky in FAQ. Can you steer me to the right one?

Emergency Handbook for Phase 2

This thread discusses how to add food slowly in Phase 2, thus the term 1.5.

Someone else may have a better link but this is a good start.

why is this site so "successful"?
I really believe that a huge part of my continuing success is that I come to 3FC every day and post. It's kind of funny because you are just cyber-friends, but I really care about each and everyone of you and wish us all success. I always wonder when I don't hear from you. The thread is new, but already has a trend on the importance of personal accountability in both weight loss and maintenance.

I hope to hear from everyone today.
Hi Debbie! I completely understand how you feel. Posting here makes a huge difference. My downfall in the past was partky due to not having a place for support. You and everyone here keeps me totally motivated to stay on plan. Thank you and everyone else who is a part of this wonderful journey!

Oh and Debbie! Congrats on surviving the weekend! I know easier said than done. You ROCK!

How was the weekend for everyone?? I am so happy that football season is back... but it also opens many doors to temptation for me! I am being strong though and taking it ONE day at a time. I think the biggest change for me this time around doing SBD (or any diet) is that if I have one bad meal or one bad day this time, I just dust myself off and get back OP instead of letting it get out of control and allowing one day of screw ups lead to forgetting the whole diet!

On a great note - I found Amy's Organic Black Bean chili at the grocery finally - I had been looking forever! I'm eating it now and it's great!! I also found EZEKIAL BREAD!! I got the seseme and it is better than any other OP bread I've ever had!

Hope you're all doing well!!

Hi, Tryin'. Glad you made it through the weekend. Me, too. I think what you said is the key. For certain, the more bad days that are added on the slower the loss is going to be. If I'm going to go a bit haywire, I stick to OP foods. I really really stay away from white sugar and flour. It's kind of lonely here this week, huh?

Very lonely! I am also really avoiding flour and sugar! I had a handful of doritos over the weekend and they were good, but a handful was enough! I just keep reminding myself that this is a lifestyle change, not just a diet, and that is helping me! One bad day just means I have to have a good day the next and not beat myself up over it!

My boyfriend is out of town all weekend, so it'll be lonely, but I can cook all the OP foods he won't eat, so that's nice!!

It's been awfully quiet in here lately! How is everyone doing? I had a few MINOR slip ups over the weekend, but nothing major, and nothing that has discouraged me! I am staying positive no matter what :-) I went to the store yesterday, stocked up on tons of OP foods for the week, and I'm ready to lose!!!!!

Hi Tryin'

Yes, it's very quiet here. I thought of you this morning and hoped you made it through the weekend. Glad to hear from you. I had 4 oreo cookies Sunday...kind of wish I hadn't but it was all the more motivation to jump back on the bus and go get a little exercise.
I'm teetering on the edge of onederland, so I'm up for a week of clean eating and looking forward to some exercise. I'm going into town an hour early for my yoga class and will do some power-window shopping. Have a great day!

Hi Tryin, it is really quiet here. I have a class reunion in two weeks and after a cookie binge on Friday, I'm actually back on Phase I for a few days. I was up a couple pounds last week when I weighed and I need to get it off. Hope we have a few more people visit us here! The weekends are when I feel the greatest temptations. Congratulations on your positive outlook!

Hi ladies I just sat here and read every post on this thread....you are all so amazing and very supportive of each other.....I love it!!

I have been on Phase 1 for almost 4 weeks and have totally lost my cravings for junk food. However, I am very very nervous about adding any grains to my diet.....I keep saying to myself one more day and then maybe I will make some brown rice or look for some OP bread. I have recently added more beans and yogurt to my diet. I have lost 10 lbs but there have been a few weekends that I had a couple of cocktails usually diet and rum or v8 and vodka but I can see where it stalls my weight loss.....anyone else have a problem avoiding alcohol??

KDHW - I live on the other coast in Fort Myers. I'm ready for the weather to cool off!! I am so sick of 90 degree days! This is the time of year that I miss Indiana (where I grew up)! I also have trouble saying no to the alcohol! I love to have a cold beer or glass of wine when I get home! What I've been doing is trying to stick to red wine since it's OP in moderation... and when I do HAVE to drink my beer, I drink the Bud Select 55 since it has the fewest calories, and I make sure I am super-good with eating that day. Personally, I know I will not stick to a diet if I limit myself completely, so I try to do everything in moderation :-) (I also don't eat sweets and don't like sugar... so I have a "beer tooth" instead of a "sweet tooth" haha)

I'm having some major motivation issues lately. I think part of my problem is that I'm getting lazy and haven't been planning my meals like I was before. My veggie intake is down and I am having cravings for greasy food! I just started taking a new medication and for the last week NOTHING has sounded appetizing, so I'm eating a little here and there just to eat, but all I want to eat is JUNK! I'm hoping my body will adjust and I can get back on track! I just hate the way that I feel when I eat something non-OP, so guilty! I'm not giving up - I'm going to hang in there - but I'm struggling! Maybe I'll print some recipes and cook all day Sunday to prepare for the week!

Hi KDHW & Tryin'

Good job to all of us hanging in there!!!!

Tryin', hang in there. It sounds like you are figuring what you need to do to make it work! I had a lull in planning and I'm jumping in full force. We just left Costco and I really got myself stocked up with my healthy proteins. We bought a sm freezer, too, so I'm home to get a healthy freezer going full of SB foods I can really depend on.

I had a couple of days when our pup died that I was pretty much thinking about off plan stuff. I got through it pretty good and realize how much I need to stay on top of things now.

Best wishes!
