New to South Beach Diet
Finally figured out how to post.....sheese. Hi everyone on the South Beach Diet. Anyone have GREAT tips to share? I have 20 lbs to lose. I lose weight very slowly as I am on a prescription that causes weight gain (just a side effect) but I don't want to stop me. I exercise by bike riding outside. Looking forward to any help you can offer.

MSTORIA! I moved your post down here into our regular forum so more people will see it.
We are happy you decided to follow this plan, and the advice we will give you over and over again is to read the book first, if you haven't already done so. You will need to understand the concepts and the fundamentals of this way of eating to successfully follow it and lose weight.
We also have a thread for those who are on Phase 1 that you will find very helpful. Also, check out our FAQ and Recipes section of our forum for lots of helpful info and some yummy recipes to help you stay on track.

Hi Mstoria and
Glad you finally found us over here. I'm pretty new here, too. The support here has really helped me to stay OP. I'm finishing week 13. Hope to see you posting soon.

Welcome Mstoria!
Make sure you read the book if you haven't already. The recipe forum on here is the best. Also the FAQ's here explained stuff a lot better for me than the book did. Checking in here frequently for the support and asking questions to fellow beachers is what helped me the most. Good Luck!

Welcome! I'm new here, too. I bought the book five years ago, but I don't remember ever following the plan, except to make a really delicious marinated steak recipe from the book. LOL!
Best of luck to you! This seems like a really fantastic, supportive group.

Welcome...
I kinda ..sorta follow the plan.
The school year is better for me because my
college kids are not here to cook for.
I maintained this summer so that is good.
I love this way of eating..makes me feel better..

Hi! Tip: Don't get hungry in Phase 1. Snacks are a good thing.
