The South Beach Diet book is available anywhere books are sold, and it's a very easy read. Both interesting and entertaining.
The South Beach Supercharged book is a newer version of the original book, but there are a few changes and additions in the food lists and it suggests an exercise plan with exercises for each phase, which you may find helpful.
We strongly recommend that you read the book (either one) before starting this plan so that you will understand the fundamentals. It clearly explains the foods you should be eating as well as the foods you should avoid, and why. Both books have some recipes for each phase, as well as some menu examples. We also have a super recipe section in our forum with yummy recipes for each phase.
