Good Morning everyone

Today I start phase 1 and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I've planned my meals for the next 4 days so there's no doubt about what to eat. I'm getting ready to jump on the elliptical for 30 minutes. So far so good. Good luck everyone.

Cottage Cheese for breakfast
Spinach Eggwhites Quorn w/ LF Blue Cheesefor Lunch
Protein mix w/ oatmeal or Nuts for Snack
Fish / Vegetables for dinner

Is eating the same things causing me to not lose?

(I exercize like a lunatic)

Beings that you only have 4 lbs. to lose, it will be difficult to do. Your body might be telling you that it enjoys being where it is.

Try adding more veggies in there....on that menu, there isn't many and definitely not 4.5 cups.

zeffrynn- I am hoping that you are right and that some of it is just water from the salty chips and hotdog I will weigh in in the morning and I hope at least 3 of those pesky pounds are gone, cause I am SO ready for phase 2

3500 calories equals a pound. I highly doubt you ate 11,000 (about 22 big macs) calories worth of food at one baseball game.

Hotdogs have tons of sodium as do chips, soda and many other baseball game foods.

Don't stress about it, just get back on track and look forward to Phase 2.

WElCOME TO THE BEACH all!!!!!

Please remember to feel free to ask questions! Also knowledge is power! There is a lot of information on these pages here, in the FAQs, in the recipe section and in the threads!

But NEVER hesitate to ask, even if it's been asked before!

Please also note that P1 is NOT the weight loss phase, it's the craving carver phase! We need to detox and get rid of the desire to eat salt, sugar and processed foods! Once you get into P2 and think you goofed and want to redo p1, remember, it's not a quick "weight loss" fix. I redid p1 only because I did p2 all wrong, and had my cravings back, the last time I did it I think i finally got it down.

Whats further, I have devised a spread sheet for myself. If you would like I would be happy to email it to you (off site, as this site doesn't forward excel spread sheets.).

Good Luck, BE CREATIVE. Being creative and changing up your foods is critical to making this work and not becoming BORED, and stopping!

Thank you Ruth for the info. I did acutally look at the list but only noticed tomatoe juice. I just figured we had to stick with plain tomatoe juice. I will add some spicy V8.

Christian, A lot of factors... When your AF comes to town you always retain water! And eating salty food will cause a couple pounds of water weight easily... One thing about the diet, especially the transition from P1 to P2, learn to listen to your body, and how it reacts to foods! For me, I need to steer clear of breads! I'm insulant resistant and my body doesn't digest them correctly (though I love bread)... I am going to try Ezekial bread though, someone pointed out it's made from young sprout as opposed to wheat! (might have some wheat)...

When you start introducing foods in p2 pay close attention to your body, did it cause you to be hungry, or did you not feel so well? I know for some, eating just an apple they are ravenous shortly after, but put a little peanut butter on it and it will hold them for hours!

I wouldn't call having 2 raisin candies staying on track.
