Is it worth it?

I've been finding that when I spend a little more for appliances like CuisineArt Coffee maker, hand mixer, Corelle dinner ware, nice silverware, not only do I get compliments, but I also find they function better. For instance my hand mixer I had died a few weeks ago and I had to replace it, so I spent an extra 20 to get the cuisineart one. It starts on the lowest level, one, and as I increase it it takes the transaction smooth and I have clean countertops and hand mixer! ONLY the bowl and beaters need washed!

This weekend my friend seen I had a cuisine art coffee maker and asked if it was worth the money, I said unhesitantly, worth every cent! Why? I'm finding they last longer, perform better, and though I haven't needed to use it, better warranty behind it.

So, all you busy chicks in the kitchen that have ventured to spend a little more in the kitchen accessories, do you find the same is true?

when i get an appliance i love it's worth it.

i love my current coffee maker. but it was only 70 dollars

i have a cute little mini food processor that was my dear mother's. it's got to be at least 20 years old. It's called A mini-chop chop. it was expensive when she got it... now it would be like nothing... but it can't be replaced... i hope it holds out longer than I do...

i find spending a bit more money for stuff makes it worth it.

I think it really depends on the item, not the brand. I had a Cuisinart coffee grinder that broke after one use, and I recently got rid of some Cuisinart cookware that didn't work for me.

I own an old $15 Bosch coffee grinder that works great, and a fairly expensive Frieling Stainless Steel French Press pot that I love. I have a Black and Decker Mini Chopper that is the best appliance in my kitchen, and I paid $14 for it.

I do most of my shopping online. I buy most of my kitchen stuff from amazon.com. (I read the reviews first.) I usually get great prices, free shipping, and no tax.

I think it depends on the item as well. Sometimes my cheaper kitchen appliances work better than my expensive ones.
