My friend has a recipe she makes, pork stir fry, with cut up pork chops. I'll get the recipe and see if it's SBD compliant or can be altered to be so, in case anyone's interested.

Lots of good recipes here. I've never been a big fan of pork chops in the past, but had some boneless ones a few months ago and found them to be delicious. I'm gonna get some Monday and use some of these ideas (the parmesan encrusted ones probably will be the first I try... YUM... bf will like it, it will sort of be like a breaded porkchop only tastier.)

In the autumn months is when we usually make pork chops....for some reason, we stick with tenderloins and whatnot in the summer.

Our favorite recipe is boneless porkchops seasoned in herbs de provence (italian seasoning would work as well) and salt and pepper. Place in crock pot with about a half cup of chicken broth and a half cup of white wine. Chop up some onions, sweet potatoes, turnips, carrots and whatever other root vegetables you would like to include.

I usually throw it on high for about 4-5 hours, but you can also do low for around 6-8.

When it is done, I take the meat and veggies out and remove the "gravy" to a saucepan. Mix in a cornstarch slurry (or arrowroot) until thick. I also add a little cream if we're feeling decadent. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Serve the chops on top of the veggies and dump a little lube (what my DH calls gravy) on top of it all.

Very autumn-y.

Great recipe zeff..sounds like something to make right after apple picking! Maybe even throw some cut up apples in there. I'm so trying that when it gets cooler.

I've been doing this with chicken for years....never thought to do it with pork...if it ever stops raining so we can grill, I'll have to give it a try.

Zeff that recipe sounds great!! I may try that tomorrow, it has been damp, cool and rainy here, much more like fall than summer. It only got in the low 60's here yesterday and it's still August....isn't it???
