Kashi Thin Crust Pizzas

  • I have been using the Kashi Thin Crust pizzas once a week for our family pizza night and I love them. I don't know if they're totally SBD compatible. I do see a few questionable ingredients there. These pizzas have a marvelous flavor and seem relatively healthy. What do you SBD experts think? They have not caused any problems for me. I am continuing to lose weight while using them. I like the Roasted vegetable one.

  • I'm crazy about these, too! Aren't they yummy? I think they're pretty close to SBD compatible that I'm not going to worry about it. The only things I see that are questionable are the wheat starch syrup (? whatever that is) and the evaporated cane syrup, but I think the amounts are minimal enough not to cause any cravings. I pile these pizzas with lots of extra raw veggies such as baby spinach, zucchini and red peppers, and it makes a very satisfying meal.
  • I love the Kashi products and it drives me crazy that they are so close to being SBD-compatible, but not completely. I use them on occasion though, particularly the pizzas and the frozen waffles. If they are not causing you any problem, I wouldn't worry about it.
  • I have a Kashi Coconut Lemongrass Chicken meal in my freezer. No one else in my family will eat it but I absolutely love them. I don't think it is entirely SBD friendly but it isn't horrible for me either. I plan to have it at the end of my first month on phase 2.

I put sliced tomatoes and mushrooms on mine before baking today. It was great!
  • I'm glad to see this. I'm headed shopping today and I'm planning on picking one up for the freezer. That way, when my son comes for visit and I am cooking something he doesn't like he can have it... OR if I decide pizza night with him, I'm good to go. He LOVES these, as do I!!!!!!!!!

Kashi Cereal, it's galled "go lean"... I chose that for my P2 cereal... anyone know if thats SB friendly? No sugar added!

  • Kashi GoLean is fine for Phase 2, just make sure you don't get the GoLean Crunch, though.
