Dr. A doesn't really advise staying on Phase 1 longer than 14 days, since your body isn't getting all the nutrients and whole grains it needs to live a healthy lifestyle. Here's a link to a sticky in our FAQ section that helps explain why you should move on to Phase 2 -
It's hard to be patient when the pounds come off slowly, but the slower you lose, the more likely the pounds will stay
off. Many of us do a phase 1 1/2, meaning we only usually have 1 grain a day, and maybe a fruit. Perhaps this would work for you, too.
