Yummy quick dinner-recipe inside!!

  • Well, I haven't really been to the store this week yet, so I had to make due with what I had. I had 1 leftover chicken breast and didn't really want it plain. Then I got to thinking about the smothered chicken on the low carb menu at Cracker Barrel and here is what I came up with:

    -1 chicken breast
    (I heated mine in a skillet and tore it into pcs-heated w black pepper and olive oil)
    -2 slices cooked bacon-crumbled
    -FF Cheddar Cheese
    -some onion (or not, if you don't like it-Cracker Barrel doesn't put onion on theres)

    I heated the chicken in a skillet and sauteed with some onion. Topped with the crumbled bacon and melted FF Cheddar Cheese. It was really yummy and filling! I would have had some green beans with it but, I was too full from the chicken!
  • Your recipe sounds really yummy, Nellagirl, but I hope you used either Canadian or turkey bacon to make it SBD friendly since we are to avoid regular bacon.

    And a friendly reminder, while I'm at it. Make sure you are eating at least 4 1/2 cups of vegetables every day. They contain vital nutrients and vitamins that our bodies need as we are shedding pounds.
