Default Subway? Quiznoes?

I've searched and searched, but can't find anywhere that tells me the nutritional info about their "wheat' bread and "wheat" wraps....to find out if they are really whole wheat or not. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

You could ask them in the store. I'm sure they have the ingredients list somewhere. They'd probably be more accommodating if you didn't come in in the middle of the lunch rush, though!

Here are the nutritional facts on the bread and wraps from Subway. You can go to their website, Subway Restaurants, to find all their nutritional information.

Thanks for the info ya'll....i found the calorie and fat information and stuff like that...still trying to find a list of ingredients to see what's actually in it. I might call them and see if they have that information...or drop in at a non-rush time for them!! Can you imagine the thoughts of the people in line behind me if i went in at noon and wanted to know that?! lol

They'd probably start a riot!

I've asked for ingredient information a whole bunch of times at many, many restaurants because my son had a lot of food allergies when he was younger. As long as you explain it's for a dietary reason, they should be more than accommodating.

Good luck!

Well, I can tell you without doing a lick of research that they are NOT 100% whole wheat. If they were, they would advertise them as such in their attempts to reach out to the more health conscious customer base.

Here's the info for Subway (http://www.subway.com/subwayroot/men...gredients.aspx):
  • WHEAT BREAD Enriched flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, whole wheat flour, high fructose corn syrup. Contains less than 2% of the following: yeast, wheat bran, bleached oat hull fiber, vital wheat gluten, salt, soybean oil, dough conditioner, acetylated tartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides, calcium sulfate, ammonium sulfate, ascorbic acid, azodicarbonamide, potassium iodate, enzymes [amylase]), cracked wheat, sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate, caramel color (contains sulfites), refiners syrup, dried honey, mineral oil. Contains wheat.
  • WRAP Bleached enriched wheat flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, soybean oil, hydrogenated vegetable oil (contains one or more of the following: cottonseed oil, soybean oil) with mono- and diglycerides added, potato starch with monoglyceride, sugar, contains 2% or less of the following: salt, vital wheat gluten, baking powder (sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, corn starch, monocalcium phosphate), monoglycerides and citric acid to preserve freshness, fumaric acid, sodium bicarbonate, dough conditioner (wheat flour, calcium sulfate, sorbic acid), sodium propionate and potassium sorbate (preservatives). Contains wheat.
So, Subway's wheat bread does have some whole wheat in it, but it's primarily enriched flour. The wrap actually has some trans fat (hydrogenated vegetable oil). I can't find anything about ingredients or nutritional infor for Quizno's bread alone--I would assume, though, that like Subway, if there is any whole wheat to be found, it is not the first ingredient.

I would just like to add that Quizno's doesn't seem to want anyone asking questions about their products. On their website, the only options to email them are for the following categories:
  • Customer Service - Store Specific (Find your store)
  • Design & Construction
  • Franchise Application Request
  • Franchise Operations
  • Careers - Corporate Only
  • International
  • Marketing
  • Real Estate
Since none of those categories fit my question (ingredients of their wheat bread), I decided to try to call them at their "general phone number." The only options at that number are "store locations," "customer comment," or "franchise opportunity information." I pressed 2 for "customer comment," even though it's not really a comment, and I recieved a recording that their offices are only open 9am-5pm Mountain Time. I'll try to call back again later and see if I actually get a response, but I find it odd that nowhere do they ever have a category for product information.
