gonnabe165 I hope you are okay, there are crazy drivers out there that is for sure- it was pouring down rain this morning and one car zipped right in between me and semi with just inches separating from all of us being hit. I hope you are feeling better, just take a deep breath.
I haven't posted or read posts for several days now but I just thought I'd check in. Robert got angry Sunday night and just lost his temper. I've got a broken blood vessel in my left hand and bruises on my arms. I threatened to call 911 but it was actually Robert that called. When the police heard what had happened they arrested Robert and filed for an emergency restraining order to keep him away from the house, my work and Brian school. I just got a copy of the restraining order in the mail so I need to take it by the school so they know that Robert is not allowed to take Brian.
I went yesterday and got my hand xrayed but the doctor is pretty sure it isn't broken. I saw the lawyer yesterday and gave him all the details so he can get started on filing the paperwork and for a restaining order that is good for 2 years. Robert got out of jail at 6:30 last night and has 24 hours to come by the house to get his stuff but he has to come with a police officer.
First thing this morning I went to open a separate bank account since I couldn't get him removed from the joint account. I left money in the old account so he would have a few thousand plus some money so the last couple of checks would clear. While I was getting this done, he walked into the same branch of the credit union. About one minute after the money was transferred, he closed the other account and took all the money that was in it. Now I've got to figure out which checks are going to bounce and what to do about my direct deposit check for the middle of the month that is going to try to go into it.
I still have so much to do but I wanted to let all of you know that I was okay (a bit shaky though) and I will post as much as I can.
Oh, Barb, I'm sorry things have turned so ugly! I will be thinking about you and Brian. You are doing all the right things and I hope your soon-to-be ex comes to his senses and lets it get settled quickly. Come back and let us know how things are going as often as you can!
And Gonnabe, I am glad you're okay! Did you get a license plate or good description of the person that hit you?
Barb, so sorry you are having to go through all of this. After all the legal aggrivations and "practical" stuff aggrivations, you can open the door for a brand new happy life...a peaceful life for you and your son. I know your tummy must be in knots right now. Keeping looking ahead!!!!
Barb I am so sorry you are goin through that . I spent 4 years with a man who abused me physically and mentally and I finally got out of the marriage before he killed me out. My thoughts and prayers are with you
Thanks you guys for the thoughts you are sendin my way. My car is driveable for now just smashed up. I gave the tag & description to cops but they did not match up ??? My back is a bit sore and I am beginning to wonder how sore I will be tomorrow. Ther always seem something to interfere when I am right on course with my weight loss.
I'm a new Phase I-er, and I was just checking in. I need to figure stuff to eat, so I've been gathering up recipes here and there.
I live in the South, and it is in the 70's. I can't believe we are wearing shorts in January. I wish we had real seasons here. It is hot, balmy, Hot as H###, and cold...but never freeze your buns off cold.
Today we were under a severe thunderstorm warning with hail warnings and tornado warnings. I hate bad weather, and I have unfortunately passed this on to my children. I decided I had better pick my kids up from school b/c I knew they'd be in a panic. The last time we had tornado warnings with the local sirens going off, I picked them up and they were crying. Well, I picked them up today, and within an hour, the whole thing passed...I felt like a big goofball. I drove them back to school and signed them back in. I'm sure the office people think I'm an idiot..oh well, they may be right today!
Kara - I cracked up when I read your post about teaching sarcasm. My daughter caught on really fast, but my son just doesn't get it. My daughter's favorite joke that she made up all on her own was: What did the wasp say to the bee? I need a ham sandwich...cracked her up everytime. Don't know why, but she thought she was hilarious.
I just ate a boring salad...gotta cook something good. Going to back to fold the rest of the laundry. I'm good at 'creative avoidance.'
Hey everyone. I did make it home at noon and am feeling a little better. Thank goodness for Midol! I love that AF is here because it may mean that I'm ovulating, but I hate how painful it is!
Hey, Pohai! Good to see you! Sorry about the computer breaking but glad to hear you had a nice holiday with your husband home. The kids must've loved it! Good luck getting back on plan.
Kim, I feel your pain. Last week was "my week" and I'm so glad it's over!
Gonna, what a day! Hope things improved for you!
Schmoodle, sorry to hear the news about your husband's trip. I know we're far away, but it there's anything we can do, don't hesitate to ask!!!
Stephanie, I can't believe the nerve of that girl! That's really a rotten way to treat somebody.
Kier, hope the verbal skills returned!
LC, drink some water and flush that headache out!!!
Barbara, you are one of the strongest women I know. You have stood steady on your feet through this whole ordeal. I'm sure you'll figure out a way to make the bank stuff work out. Is there any way you could contact the people you wrote the original checks to and let them know you will write new ones on your new account? Or I wonder if there's any way the credit union can somehow "forward" them to the new account, since you opened it at the same establishment? Kudos to you for being quick on your feet with that one! Please keep us updated and let us know that you and Brian are doing alright!
Welcome, Angela! Kids are funny, huh?! Glad the storm passed for you!
Per Dawn's instructions () I'm up and off to yoga. Thanks, girl!

Barb I am so sorry to hear you are having a rough time, in the end this will all be for the better but I know it is tough. Many to you, you know we are always here for you!
Gonna hope you aren't to sore tomorrow.
Such a rough day all around here is going out to everyone! I have needed my own little bit of dust myself today, opened my desk drawer and saw my emergency stash of SB bars, oh how I wanted the chocolate one but I stuck true to P1 and just said no!
Hope everyone has a good evening (or day for Kara)!
I've been checking in and lurking a lot just to see how people are doing but not posting for lack of time, but I have to post something here.
Barb, you are an amazingly strong woman. Good thing I'm not around there because I'd whoop his and you can count on that. Big strong, tough man, beating on a woman. That stuff really honks me off and I'm censoring my language a lot because I'm.... honked. I'll pray for you.
It was so worth it, Dawn! There was a different teacher with a different style, and at first I was a little worried, but it ended up being a good class. Thanks for the encouragement!
Lisa, good to see you around! We miss you! I'm going to start including you in personals just in case you check in.
Stephanie, stay strong! Count down your days!!!
I'm going to grab my stability ball and get that done and then it's on with breakfast and the rest of the day. Sleep tight everyone!
Barb I'm so sorry you and Brian had to go through that awful experience. I can only pray that the worst is behind you now, and things start taking a turn for the better. It's such a shame that Brian had to see his father acting like that. As far as the credit union goes, inform them of your situation and ask if they can put a "red flag" on your old account to re-route the outstanding checks to your new account. I think most banking institutions will do that for you. You and Brian are in my prayers, things can only get better now.
GONNA, thank goodness you are OK! I hope the police are able to locate the car and driver soon!
I was going to come in here and complain about my day, but all of the sudden it wasn't all that bad.
