I'm glad you've checked out the FAQ section of our forum, and it's important to thoroughly read the book, too, so you can better understand the whys and hows of this new healthy way of eating.
To answer your question regarding canned soups, there are some soups out there that will work for SBD, but canned soups usually contain so much sodium that most of us try to avoid them. It is great for convenience sake, but if you have time, you could make a large pot of your own homemade soup and portion it out in freezer containers. We have several fantastic soup recipes in our recipe forum to choose from. Check them out.
