flaxseed on phase 1

hello everyone,

well i started on the beach about a week ago,and i've already cheated more than enough so i want to continue on phase 1 but my aunt recommended i drink half a glass of water with a tablespoon of ground flaxseed its supposed to be for the cravings, my question is can i have flaxseed on phase 1?

Sorry, but no grains are allowed on Phase I. I've never heard of flax seed for cravings. Dairy and legumes ARE allowed and will help with cravings.

I recommend a glass of water with some Benefiber or Metamucil, the fibre helps with digestion and regularity and helps to fill you up a little bit ;)

Actually flaxseed IS allowed on phase one! It just counts for your daily nut allowance!
Flax Seed - 3 TBS (1 oz)

You can mix it in yogurt or take it the way you want. Just make sure it is milled because you can't digest whole seeds!

I've been trying a new concept I heard about, 2 tsps apple cider vinegar in 8 oz water before breakfast, and again before your supper. It seems to be working for me, and doesn't taste bad, either.

Sorry! How the heck did I miss that? I may have to turn in my MOD hat.

I don't know about cravings, but flaxseed meal seems to swell up a lot in liquid and it's good fat. Maybe it makes you feel fuller? With the Omega-3s and lignans, it's worth eating whatever your reasons are! :D
