Terrible eating day but I'm going to enter it anyway.
B: smoothie with greek yogurt, whey protein, frozen berries, banana, sugar free latte
L: Lenny's 6 inch Italian sub (let this be a lesson about not planning ahead for what I am going to eat for lunch) sour cream and onion potato chips
D: peanut butter
Might add something a little more nutritious to this before the night is over.

I am going to have to stop drinking alcohol---I cannot control my eating when I drink!! That is something I have learned this winter. Yesterday I did just fine, cereal/skim milk, chicken breast, dill pickle, raspberries--but then--we were clearing out fence rows and had a fire going and I drank one beer--then two, three and then I ate two huge smokies (cooked on the fire-yum) came back to the house and ate two LARGE handmade peanut butter eggs!!!!! I was going for more beer and potato chips when I did stop and make myself just go to bed!! I could get away with this crap when I was young but now that I am 55, it just stops my losing for days!!!!!! AND it is taking forever to lose anything AND I can't seem to be able to eat ANYTHING but salads and fruit and chicken breast and crap like that to lose anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE! I feel better!

Ping, I'm the exact same. All willpower and good intentions fly right out the window when there's alcohol. I'm definitely steering clear of alcohol now for a while, need a break after all the restaurant meals lately.
Here's today's
B: Bowl strawberries
L: Prawns, Green salad, slice of ww with oil and vinegar
D: Wilted spinach and nutmeg omelette, green salad
2 hours wii

2 hours of wii! Wow, you are becoming a wii queen. I need to get back to it. I've been so tired lately. I don't have an issue with alcohol but when I'm sleep deprived, exhausted like this I will eat anything that is not nailed down. And you want to talk about mindless eating, I can't even remember what all I ate for lunch today, that's scary.
B: 2 eggs, whole grain toast, sugar free latte
L: lasagna, apple crisp and some veggie in the hospital cafeteria
D: lamb and chickpea tagine with couscous, glass of red wine. Now I will have some leftovers to pack for lunch-that was the idea but I couldn't get to the cooking.

B: Bowl fruit and fibre, low fat yoghurt, nashi pear
L: Spinach omelette and green salad, apple
D: Salad
S: Toasted curried cauliflower
Exercise - 30 mins wii

I learned an important lesson last night. I felt so much better a couple hours after dinner last night. It's amazing how much better a decent meal can make you feel. I need to remember that-no matter how tired I am, it is important to eat a decent meal. I've eaten well all day today and I feel much better.
B: greek yogurt with honey, homemade mueslix, sugar free latte
L: lamb and chickpea tagine with couscous, banana
D: canadian bacon and egg in half a whole wheat pita, strawberries and mascarpone cheese.
Might even get to some Wii tonight. I've gotten myself changed into some appropriate clothes to help motivate myself.

I agree Petra!
I have decided to just buckle down and follow the Sonoma diet to a ''T".
I think that since I don't have that much to lose, that I have been frittering around on this diet since February. Yesterday I decided that if I wasn't going to get serious, I might as well quit. But I decided that even if I don't have much to lose, I want to lose it. And I want to improve the way I eat and I feel that I have been eating better.
Walked two miles
cereal/ skim milk
chicken/ tomatoes
salad/blueberries

break through--served supper to 8 guests last night, rosemary chicken, roasted potatoes, huge salad, assorted cheeses, coconut cake----I did not succumb to the potatoes or the cake!
I have to do it again on Sunday--will probably use the same menu (different guests) so hopefully I can conquer again!
cereal/skim milk
chicken salad wrap
salad steak
walked 2 miles

Hi, ladies, can I join you? I've been trying to follow south beach for a couple weeks now, and, it's just not working for me. For one thing, I exercise a lot, and think I need more carbs, my body craves whole grains and fruit. SB also feels very restrictive to me. Mediterranian Senoma sounds like the way I naturally eat all ready, I like the flexibility.
I'm 37, and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder last year, and put on meds, which caused me to gain weight. I'm losing, but these drugs make it very difficult, so, I have my emotions under control, but, now, I'm fat, what a trade off! Anyway, I'm not gonna give up. I lost the ten pounds I gained on the drug, now, I just have the twenty to lose I had before my diagnosis. The cardio and weights I do help me feel more confidant and better about the way I look. I work out with a personal trainer 3 times a week, but, I'm considering doing someting on my own a couple days a week to speed up the weight loss process. Right now, I'm losing like a pound a month.
Eating steelcut oats and drinking coffee as I type this. I look forward to getting to know you all.
Amie
