Sonoma/Mediterranean Weekly Thread Nov 9-15, 2009
Happy Monday everyone. Still waiting to hear what the Hurricane plans are at the hospital. I'm also getting frustrated with my scale which seems to be stuck despite the fact that I'm being very compliant with my diet. I can tell my body is changing so that counts for something I suppose.

The pants I'm wearing today are getting pretty baggy. I think this may be the last time I'm able to wear them. That's progress even if my scale isn't moving. Here's my menu for today.
B: greek yogurt with blueberries, strawberries, granola, sugar free latte
L: barley and black bean salad, 2 clementines
S: indian spiced nuts
D: pork tenderloin with salty sweet glaze, millet and quinoa with sunflower seeds, roasted green beans, glass of white zinfindel

Hey Petra
Im experiencing the exact same thing. My pants are getting too bif for me (and my underwear!) but the scale is just NOT moving...
I read on the internet it might be because im exercising but to me its liek not making sense.
I then washed my pants in case it was stretched from wearing them a lot but NO its really to big. So I went to my fav store and findout I am now inbetween a 16 and 18!!
All of this with the scale not moving LOL Im about to throw it out and keep going without it lol
So for me today:
Started wave 1 again to get back on track:
breakfast: 2 slice of toast with PB
Lunch: Green beans and brocoli soup with a little bit of pork.
Dinner: lasagna with a salad on the side.
Exercise: 45 mins of step.

Hey there! Another person joining in on this group
B- 1/2 cup egg whites with 1/4 cup each of onion and green peppers (pan sprayed with olive oil), whole wheat toast w/sugar free grape jam, and 1/2 banana.
S- 100 cal pack of almonds
L- whole wheat chicken pita with avocado, romain lettuce, green pepper, tomatoes, and feta cheese. Marinated cucumbers and 1 med. apple with honey.
S- 100 cal pack of almonds
S- whole wheat pita with 2 tbsp of hummus.
D- Backyard Burger's grilled chicken salad (romaine lettuce, mush, carrots, tom, and cubes) with 2/3 packet of basalmic vinaigrette
calories: 1485 (close to my approximation!)- unsure about the salad since it was from BYB and lord know they dress up that chicken some sort of marinade. I'm very pleased that i resisted the burger and fries.
Exercise: None today.

Kat-welcome. Nice to have more people join our group and congrats on resisting the burger. Have you checked to see if they have their nutritional info on line? Some of the chain restaurants do. Maybe if our group continues to grow, we can add some other things to our forum......

B- whole wheat toast w/sf grape jam, 1/2 banana, yogurt, 8 ounces of grape juice: 390
S- 1/2 whole wheat pita w/2 tbsp hummus: 160
L- 2 inch turkey on white (gah!), 1/2 ham croissant (double gah!), sunchips, and 1/2 brownie (triple and quadrouple gah!): too many calories.
S- med. apple w/tbsp honey: 160
D- chips/drip (left over from the weekend.....), chicken pita and another pita w/ too much hummus..
Total calories- way too many. That's okay... tomorrow will be a better day
Lunch was my monthly SDA meeting... so, that's why it's not my med. food. Oh well. My other eatings are/will be good, so i'm not going to beat myself up over it
exercise: prolly none.. had a bad headache when i woke up this morning, so no AM workout. Hubby was none too pleased.. Still have a headache. I dreamed way too much last night.. hopefully tonight the dreams will be minimal and i can get some restorative sleep!

Kat-what is SDA?
Here's my menu for today.
B: smoothie made with greek yogurt, whey protein, banana, mixed berries, sugar free davinci syrup, sugar free latte
L: zucchini and bok choy gratin, mixed grains with cashews
D: steak and bleu cheese salad. There is something wierd to me about drinking wine with salad. I just can't do it so no wine tonight.
Made it to my pilates class tonight. The other good news. My scale moved today but I won't change my ticker until Friday.

It's the Society of Design Administration. It's an affiliate of the AIA (American Institute of Architects). Basically a support group for the administrative personnel of the design firm, whether it be from Architecture itself or from their consultants (mechanical, civil, etc). It's a GREAT exchange of ideas. Personally, my degree was in Anthropology with no idea about Architecture. Thankfully, the firm i work for is fantastic and has helped me with the learning curve. I joined the SDA last year and having other people out there to help you is great! As administrative personnel, we are expected to do so much and most of the time, we do not have a background in Architecture... anyway, i could go on and on
