August Core Challenge

  • So ... what's it going to be? I think mine will be:

    GOALS
    a 30-minute walk at least once per week
    a 30-minute Gazelle session at least once per week
    weights and floor exercises at least once per week

    And a minimum of 100 oz. of water

    CHALLENGE
    I am not going to stop on the way to work for a Coke.
    I am not going to stop on the way home from work and buy beer.

    It's gonna be a looooong month.

    24--100 min w a (i got there early and did my own till class started.)

    26 week 4 total=330 min

    27--30 min ex bike (yep, i finally got on it and rode. did it during bb.)

    31--60 min w a week 5 total=270 min

    total for august=1435 minutes
  • Wow - very ambitious goals!

    Froufie's Cruise Goals:

    1) Weigh in under 200! by September 8th! (currently Aug 2 weigh in is 211.8)

    2) Go to the gym at LEAST 3 times per week, ideally 4!

    3) Do morning floor exercise 5 times per week (situps/pushups/leg lifts)

    4) Drink at least 50 ounces of water per day!

    That should do it!

  • My goal is 500 minues of exercise. It's low, but I didn't even reach it last month. So I'm trying again, and hopefully I'll exceed it this month!
    Also, I would love to be down about 5 pounds.

  • Probably! I miserably failed in August.
  • I think we'll probably try to do a mini-challenge every few weeks. Maybe the next one will only last a week and be for ONE stinkin' pound. Of course, that's even a little more than I can manage these days.
  • Me too. I think I need a DAILY challenge.
  • i like small term challenges, too, like that 2x2 one that you've already started. i will do a monthly exercise challenge for myself, though, to keep me moving.
