And a little something for the Froufster...

  • Pink Princess, a 1-year-old toy poodle, enjoys a walk around Oakland, Calif., with owner Unique Hildreth. Hildreth, who says she has worn pink every day for the past five years, dyes the poodle about once a month to maintain her pinkness.

    Um ... yeah.
  • You have to be kidding!!!!!!
  • I crap you negative. There oughta be a law against it.

Oh and if Unique could see a picture of herself in those pants??
  • I was just thinking the same thing...and I guess "Unique" is an appropriate name!
  • Kathy you cracked me up with that picture, and yes Unique should see herself in that picture. Too funny!!!!
  • shame shame on unique. that's poodle abuse.
  • I'm worried for the poodle, i mean the dye is even around the eyes, thats dangerous if you ask me. Unless there is some sort of dog dye that i don't know about (which their could be, i have no clue). But still, it doesn't seem like the best of ideas. poor dog.

Talk about fashion faux pas though, those pants do nothing for her, except make her look ridiculous XD
  • Usually dogs are dyed with Kool Aid. It's harmless.
  • Okay - I do love PINK - but there is a limit! right? Love the first name tho - very appropriate. I can only imagine the looks she and the dog get when out for their daily stroll!

    Too much!

    Thanks Kathy
  • We all have to give Unique a little credit....She IS out walking and maybe trying to lose some of her middle. We can all hope anyway...
  • I tried to find out more ... like whether or not she did indeed use Koolaid to dye with (we're hoping) but couldn't find anything. And nibs, you are so right. I do think she should get mucho credit for walking. It's a whole lot more exercise than *I* did today!
  • You'd think Kool-Aid would stain the furniture and people around the dog. At least it does at my house! But again, I'm not intentionally dyeing anything with it, so what do I know?

    Angela
  • I vote no!
  • It probably is Kool-Aid, and if it's rinsed well, shouldn't stain furniture. I wouldn't do it, but it's got to be less annoying to the dog than the stupid clothes some people put on their pets (I just saw a woman with a yorkie in a little dress, the other day).

In the 80's, I saw a "People's Court" episode where a man was suing because a groomer had died his persian CAT pink instead of the agreed-upon blue. He argued that he should get additional compensation for the cat's "pain and suffering," because the cat was "mortified" at being pink because it was a boy cat.
  • Sheesh this woman needs to get a life!
