It's a beautiful sunny and soon to be warm day here again.

Vickie, your news about Jim sounds so good. I can't wait to hear how the new baby is. My thoughts are with them all. Don't beat yourself up on your eating. Actually, you didn't do bad yesterday. Some would have really gone overboard, and you didn't, so take that as a NSV.

I was concerned that I wasn't getting some emails, so was up before eight with the tech support. Turns out that I had problems which he helped me fix.

I have physio again today. I'll then have $150.00 left from my plan, so at $55.00 a pop, I'll go three more times. I hope that by then things will be improved. I definitely feel more mobility and a little back to normal. However, I now have a pain on the sole of my foot which wasn't there before. Go fig

Spoke to ds today and he's going to doctor about persistant cough. Bernie thinks it may be his bp medication. He's only 38, but a stressed type guy. (probably from running his own business). He has asthma and I always worry about him. To look at him, he's a real hunk and rather gorgeous.

Oh Kathy, I have a Sony Cyber-shot which I love. It's small and pretty easy to use. I must admit that there are a lot of things that could do, but don't cause I don't know how. They have simple classes at the Sony store every so often, but so far I've not been available when they were held. They had one on Tuesday when Bernie's niece was in town. I'm waiting for the next one. I must admit that it has opened a new world to me, which is a lot of fun. My gf is suppose to come over one of these days and help me with Adobe.

Okay, better get ready...

Patti, congratulations to you and DH! I am SO happy that he found a job. I can "hear" the relief in your voice. Don't worry about that 15 pound chick. I have a feeling you'll be introducing us to him very soon. I'd LOVE to see your pond and your newly adopted fish friends!

Angela, I'm so proud of you for going back completely on Core to get rid of that very scary 2 pounds. You will always be my role model!

Frouf, I hope the rest of your office move went smoothly. Remember, any change is stressful so I'm not surprised at all that you are feeling unsettled about all of this. Have fun in Toronto! Will you be staying with GF and able to check in with us? How selfish am I!!!!!

Saundra, I altered some of my more expensive clothes when I lost the 45 pounds. I knew that I couldn't replace them for the price of alteration, so why not? The weather was glorius yesterday here too but I couldn't get out to see it. It's going to be rainy today but that's ok since we are planning to stay in and recuperate. Jim and I always joke about becoming restaurant reviewers. Are these new places that you tried or are planning to try Core friendly? I hope you found your glasses. That would REALLY make me crazy! I'm sorry to see that you were up in the middle of the night. I REALLY hate when that happens to me. I hope you got back to sleep and that nothing is bothering you.

Kath, I'm not surprised that your body clock is messed up. Maybe you can get your job switched to 3rd shift? Just kidding. How horrible for you. Is there anything you can do to get back on schedule? Your injuries sound so horrible. I'm sure I'd be complaining a million times more than you are. However, I'm learning that it really doesn't do much good to complain, does it?! I have a Kodak EasyShare DX 6340, that I love. It's very automatic and user friendly. I'm not comfortable with fancy cameras so this one might be too basic for you. I love it and it wasn't that expensive. It's 3.1 megapixels. Hey, what about those scarf/hat creation things you were going to make and market? Could you do those while in bed and sell them on Ebay? Just a thought. I like when you write alot. Keep ignoring Shaun, especially when he is doing the responsible and mature thing!

Rita, OMG back!!!! We missed you so much when you left. We didn't know what happened and were afraid that there was bad news with your move. You know we all have gone off of the wagon completely before and have even gained back all or more of our weight loss. It happens. Just get back on program and hang out here with us. From time to time we all struggle but for the most part are at least maintaining. I'm at 45 pounds down but have lost nothing more since you left. Jim and I have had alternating health issues and I've not really been able to exercise much. I'm floating around the 40-45 pound down mark but proud that I'm hanging on to that until I can get the other 120 pounds off. I'm looking forward to having you here again. You always gave such sweet support.

Ok, Chicks! Gotta go and take care of Jim, my pup, and the laundry. I also have to call and check on my Niece. I'll try to be back later.

Good morning! Look who's up before noon today?

We're having rain and it sure is nice, except the power went out last night and I worried for a while. Worried why? Because Judd saw a light in the kitchen and opened the door -- there stands Shaun with a candle. We're like ... uh oh, this might not be good. He's not too responsible with fire. One night a few years ago (before he moved out) we were sound asleep and he banged on our door that he had caught his shirt on fire while cooking. Well, go put the fire out, dufus! Don't come running in here to us! Sheeesh! Anyway, the power was only out for about 30 minutes last night then came back. And no fires to report.

I even made myself a scrambled egg and ate a piece of string cheese just now, then came back to bed with a big glass of ice water. There is a coke in the fridge but I resisted. The scale was 147.4 this morning and I can't figure that out since I haven't eaten much but I'm not going to think about it. It is what it is.

Vickie, that's so scary about your niece and new baby! Please keep us updated! And I'm so glad Jim will be fine -- I hope that by later on today his swelling is gone down a lot and he's able to eat something. I don't know what they do to us while we're "out" but maybe that's best that way. My throat was so sore after my surgery and the roof of my mouth was all cut up from the tube.

I'm going to try and stay up for a while. I've got my crocheting here beside me and am making a lap robe for my aunt's wheelchair. I'll put it up for Christmas. I have a small pile of scarfettes (the button up kind) so don't need to make anymore right now. Maybe that's something I'll put on ebay. Judd is in charge of finding the camera, and a basic one is all I want anyway Vickie, so I'll have him take a look at yours.

Okay, time for pills and then TV. I'll be back later.

Hey sunshine! Glad to see you up early. I think the scarfettes would be good on Ebay. The camera that I told you about is the one I've used to post pictures here of my entertainment center and other things. So you can see the pictures are pretty good. It has settings you can mess with but I'm a moron with cameras so I just use auto. I'm glad you ate. I'm off to do some more laundry and shower. I talked to my Sister and no news on the Niece. It's hard to wait.

Okay Sleeping Beauty - glad you are up and eating - but you are hereby FORBIDDEN and I mean FORBIDDEN to put any weight on that foot! What were you thinking? Here we are all hoping and praying that your bone heals properly (which means staying off the foot) and you go hopping around outside to take care of the sprinklers! (take that!)

Glad that Shaun did not set himself or the place on fire tho!

Vickie - you did GREAT! I am so glad and relieved that everything went well for Jim - and I can bet he feels sore - keep those slurpies coming - you might also want to try some yogurt (the kind w/active cultures) esp if he is taking antibiotics on an empty stomach!

Sorry to hear about your Niece - but the good news is they found out about the pre-eclampsia and are taking measure to ensure both mother and baby are safe! Hoping for good news about the birth soon.

I had a heck of a time getting pregnant w/Emily and was on fertility drugs for 2 years - it was a very very horrible period in my life as the pills made me crazy! You can only imagine how nervous I was throughout the whole pregnancy. Right at the end I was diagnosted w/low amniotic fluid - so I was brought in (like 3 days before my due date) for a kind of 'scheduled' caesarian (could not stress baby by going into labor). I am so glad I did not read about that BEFORE I gave birth cuz it was also pretty scary stuff. I was wondering why they had a pediatric specialist standing by to check her over as soon as she was born and pronounced her okay (I couldn't even imagine at that point that she wouldn't be okay - besides being a runt baby!). At least it all ended well and I was so freaked out later when I read all that could have gone wrong!

Rita - welcome back - we are THRILLED to see you again. I too have been in a major rut for a while (but they have not disbarred me yet - ha ha ha) and I am definitely struggling - I'm sure you can add some inspiration to all of our efforts!

Saundra - so are the kids in Barrhaven? How lucky to have them so close by. I'm sure both you and they will appreciate it! How was your dinner out?

Kathy - almost forgot - we also have a Sony Cyber shot (600 I think?) and it's quite good (altho dh is usually the designated photographer). I think crocheting is a great idea - and we will all be looking for your ebay store pretty soon! (Kathy's Kreations - ha ha ha).

So our taxes our done and 'netfiled' - I am expecting a nice chunk of change back and dh just a bit - but it all helps. I also bought some guns and roses tickets for ds this morning (concert in New York city in May) as he is in an exam - he encouraged me to buy some extras that I could sell (This morning was the 'presale' and they were already selling on ebay at $200-300 US per ticket last night!!!). Maybe finance myself a trip to NYC? ha ha ha.

My office is looking sad and bare - as I finish clearing up - almost done w/current files and personal stuff which I am hauling back and forth myself - then all I will have left is packing up my four drawer filing cabinet into the bins and labelling my phone/computer/chair etc. I am thinking hard as I bring stuff into my new office as I need to be an very organized frouf.

While I have not yet packed for TO- clothes are accumulating in my bedroom and I did do some laundry. Need to haul up suitcases tonight and see what fits where. Have already printed out all the maps I need. I will not have access to computer until possibly sunday night so will try to check in when I can.

I am feeling a bit calmer today as the moving is now close to being over? ha ha ha and I am somewhat prepped for our trip. I am not looking forward to the long drive tho (5 hours each way with only me as the driver!) and I understand there are some holdups due to construction on the highway. My goal is to get to TO before rush hour (which starts like 3 pm!) and get settled into the hotel and RELAX (they do have a pool and fitness room so I will pack some gear in case I am in the mood!).

Later,

Frouf

I'm a moron too -- you'd think as smart as the two of us are, we could do great things with a camera but oh well. I get razzed all the time around here because of my great ignorance of the remotes: TV, DVD, DVR, receiver, stereo, etc. It seems like there are too many of them, too many buttons, and all I want to know how to do is turn the TV off and on.

I'll be watching for your updates on things throughout the day.

Yes, ma'am, Miz Frouf. I'll watch it from now on. (I *did* know I was being naughty at the time, so what was I thinking???)

Kathy - next time you need a gift idea (for Judd?) go to the sony store and get one of the backlit consolidated touch pad remotes - very cool thing. You can connect several things to it (like VCR, dvd, tv, etc). It is not cheap but very nice and useful item! (check here: http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...ctSKU=RMAV2500)

Yeah, one more thing to learn. But quite a nifty gadget! I think he has everything programmed on the DirecTV remote now but still there are others laying around for some reason and they annoy me. This thing looks really cool!

It is the coolest of cool - guarantee he will love it. I have visited many friends' home and I am astounded by the number of remotes lying around - and how you need a different one for every piece of equipment. Being technically challenged I can barely turn on and off their tv let alone do anything else - maybe they keep them around to confuse their guests and ensure no one can touch anything? ha ha ha

I just got a call from the lady at the doctor's office where they're re-doing my disability paperwork. She put a return to work date as June 25 (3 months after accident). Hopefully he'll release me before then but she put a far-out date so that we didn't have to do this a third time.

If I eat grits and eggs in the morning for breakfast, can I have a second helping of grits sometime later in the day? No rice, bread, noodles, potatoes, etc

Ruth, I see nobody has answered (it's a slow day here on the board) but I just wanted to tell you that I'm not sure. All of my materials are at work and sometimes I get confused on which of the foods are limited to once a day. I'm sure someone will be along soon to answer you!

hi there, chickies. spring is definitely here. i got out and pruned one rosebed. eight more to go. i'm moving slowly but i am moving.

i'm still doing great opwise. i stopped taking the zantrex yesterday. the caffeine had me very fidgety. i'm ready to get serious about the senior olympics and need to be steady. i took the z to help me get started losing--which it did. now i'm on my own--well--with ya'll and ww. wow!! i'm not alone at all. life is good.

vickie, i'm so glad jim got a good report. i'll keep all of you in my prayers.

kathy, you sound in better spirits every day. don't worry about that scale. your bod has prob shifted into "starvation" mode and is hanging onto everything it can. don't let it worry you. you're doing remarkably well with your eating. i'm with you on all these electronics. i wish i knew how to half of what the gadgets we have will do. oh, well. maybe we need to adopt a teenager.

frouf, enjoy your trip. your stay at the hotel will be a blast.

ruth, aren't grits just ground corn? if so, you can have them as many times a day as you want.

we are conducting an archery round table discussion at the archery center tonight. i have the vcr set for "survivor." sure don't want to miss it.

wi is tomorrow. i'm looking forward to it. ya'll have a nice evening. i'll be back later.
