frouf, those are cute stickers. thanks for the heads up. i'm not in a good mood right now. i don't get upset very often, but i just found out that my printer wasn't still installed on the puter since the lightning did the number on the puter. i don't know how i did it, but it is now re-installed. i was fuming. i was ready to panic. guess everything's all right now.

oh, yes. i have oven fried chicken baking now.

kathy, we need to get together.

I got a nice little gift this afternoon. My neighbor is the area manager for a medical supply company (where Shaun used to work) and he brought home something called a foot positioner. Here it is:

He's one of the guys who was playing golf that day and saw my messed up foot before we left the course. I thought it was nice of him to think of me. I think I'll sleep in it because it's a nice compromise between totally naked foot and heavy boot. It hurt to sleep without the boot last night because the ankle wasn't stabilized. I think this will help out a lot.

Vickie, sorry the Sox lost but I'm very glad you had a great time! Enjoy your dinner.

Yes, Sandra, we certainly do. I suggest a resort where they bring everything to us and nobody's expecting us to do anything.

Bindy, the Border Collie, was in the back yard barking her head off so I went to the back door to tell her to shut up. While there, I noticed there was grass all over the tile because when Judd mowed yesterday, I guess he tracked a lot of it in. I tried to sweep but it didn't do much good. I just had to shut my eyes and come back to the bedroom. The whole place is starting to look like a frat house.

Now Judd tells me he's leaving Friday for a 3-day motorcycle trip to Arkansas. Part of me says just go! The other part (the whiny part) says well, what about me? Then I realized he's not doing all that much anyway, so it might not be such a bad thing. Maybe I can clean house Friday with Shaun's help and at least it'll stay clean.

No weight at all for at least a month. He says the bone that's being held with the screw will be damaged if I put weight on it and it starts separating. Until the bone knits back together, the screw is all that's holding the two pieces since all the surrounding tissues are also damaged and the ligaments are all torn away. The most annoying of it is that it's still numb on bottom. He says the nerves were stretched out too far so that's why there's no feeling. He also said that when they start healing it's going to hurt a whole lot! I'm like ... a whole lot more than THIS? And he said yes. OMG!

American Idol is unimpressive so far. There are so many country songs to pick from and so far, nobody has picked a good one (in my opinion, that is).

Goodness Kathy! Please take it easy and try to take care of yourself. I know that has to be hard though. I can't believe Judd is going to leave you for three days. I would be really angry about that if I were you. You do deserve a resort vacation!

You too Sandra. I can't believe Frouf found those stickers. How cute. I hope that you take it easy as well and don't push yourself too hard. Tell Curtis you need some TLC.

Vickie, glad you had a good time today!

Saundra, hope you have fun "shadowing" this week. I'm sure there's a lot to learn.

Well we are being very lazy tonight. Both of us have been very tired and just not wanting to do anything. So I don't have much to tell!

The house inspection is tomorrow, so if anything is going to go bad in this house deal, we'll find out then. that all goes well!

Move over girls, my foot is killing me. I think she opened up a can of worms when she worked on it today, it's really throbbing. I was warned that it gets worse before it gets better.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. There are just a lot of different parts. All ligaments were torn, all nerves were stretched beyond their normal limits, the heel bone was dislocated and nearly coming thru the skin on the inside of my foot, the ankle bone was snapped in two and part of it rotated upside down and behind another bone. It was a mess so he said he would be taking a long time to heal since there are lots of issues to deal with.

Still though, we all hurt and pain is pain. It's too bad we're scattered all over the place -- we could keep one doctor in business just between us all!

See what I mean? Nobody feels good these days!!!

Saundra, I hope with some rest your foot gets back to normal.

Melissa, do you think you're getting sick or are you just really tired? Good vibes for the house inspection tomorrow.

Kathy, I'm not sure. I thought it was allergies and then one of my co-workers told me today that I looked really pale and not like myself. I have no idea. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

Saundra, I'm sorry that you're in more pain now!

I wish I had some healing power to send out there to you all!!!

Oh as for Judd leaving, I should be okay. Kate is off both Saturday and Sunday, Erin should be off at least one of the days, and with Judd gone, Shaun should come downstairs more often. I'll get all of them to help me and we'll get this frat house cleaned up.
