Well, Vickie, that's a good attitude. I like the "...I'm barely pouting" part. That's me when I'm trying to be good!
Happy birthday, Billie! I hope it was a great one!
My maintenance is really going to be a "lose a few more" deal right now. I'm not sure how to do it since I'm not exactly motivated, but I surely don't want to gain any more back! That would really put me in a bad mood.

frouf, i'm still trying to learn to deal with events, too. guess that's just part of life, don't you? okay, girlfriend. i am sooooooooo ready to see your photo. i'm glad dh is getting some help. sounds like he's improving.
vickie, the big woosh will come. i may have a gain this week, too. i'm starting to think maybe you and i will have to forego lifestyle type eating and do some bare essentials to start losing. what do you think?
kathy, let us know when you get this figured out. we need some help.
speaking of help. i'm wanting to change my username from "notnew2this" to something more positive. you know how i'm always harping on everyone's being positive. i have a new username (big secret right now) and am ready to change---alas!--i don't know how. i even tried logging out and registering anew but the puter powers that be tell me someone else (actually it's me) has my same email address. any ideas how i can change this negative to a positive?

Sandra, I tried to find out how to change your user name but couldn't figure out how to do it. Linda does it frequently. Maybe she or Kathy can help you. I added something below my name. That was fun! I'm not sure what you mean by "lifestyle eating". I think I am doing bare essentials unless you mean eating out in restaurants. I don't think I want to give that up. I'd almost rather lose slowly!
Kath, I know you'll be vigilant about not gaining. How's your new medicine? Did you get good sleep? The White Sox REALLY need to win this series but you know we have a hard time winning on the West Coast (you fit into that category, believe it or not!). Double header tomorrow because of a rainout. Any chance they will have rain problems again because of Katrina?
Pool water is only 85 degrees as of an hour ago. Jim won't go in unless it's 87. I'm going in at 4:00 no matter what. All next week it is supposed to be in the mid to high 70's. Definitely not swimming weather. It's been going into the 60's at night which lowers the pool temperature. This may be the last day. Sigh. So sad.
Frouf, what is CRP? My cholesterol went from 267 to 242 and my Doctor is still giving me more time before medicine, if that information helps. I'm going to post a new picture when I get to my 50 pounds. IF THAT EVER HAPPENS!

Sandra, send a message to the mods thru the "contact us" link above. You'll find it under 3FC Features. They'll change it for you.

Hmmmm, I'm still pretty much just eating single servings of everything. Of course, there are always a few exceptions! I'm willing to exercise more and drink more water but I'm not really wanting to cut out food. I'll admit though that I probably could eat less meat and starch. I LOVE it so.

I agree about cutting out the food - esp the grains/starches and fruit. One of the main reasons I chose Core was cuz of the freedom to eat these things when needed. I think sometimes I "enjoy" myself too much? I love eating out - but Vickie is way more diligent than I am in her "interrogation" technniques. I sometimes use eating out as an excuse to eat whatever I want which is a bad mindset - this is what I need to change!!!! I also know that lately I have been eating beyond my comfort zone, as my tummy is pretty full when I"m done - but I think this is better than being too empty and grabbing for something non-core. I know when I am full I have much better control of my mouth!
Vickie - I admire your attitude and non-pout - you know the .8 will be gone in a nanosecond. Sorry about the cooler weather and possible pool closure! I feel for you! I would also be upset!
Sandra - let me know if you are successful w/the name change - I used to be Froufie, but once after a crash and reconfiguration of this site - for some reason I was no longer able to log on w/that name so had to change it to Froufy!
I was very hungry this pm - went down to the food court to get watch battery checked at the jeweller's - RED ALERT, RED ALERT - HUNGRY FROUFIE IN THE FOOD COURT!. I managed to behave myself altho the sugar cravings were there. I ended up getting a large coffee w/cream and a small fruit salad! That seemed to do the trick. I am now on my way home - still not doing well w/water as I have yet to finish my 2nd water bottle - will do this on the way home I hope?
Later,
Frouf

Sandra, that is a great new name!! I know what you mean by "lifestyle eating" b/c that is what I have been doing, too. Eating casually, counting points here and there--Maintenance, basically I think! Anyway that's how I perceive it. I've already moved to maintenance in a lot of ways and I still have 50 pounds to lose! I need to get down to the basics as well.
I'll be back later tonight, I'm in the middle of cooking stir-fry.

Hello all and a great big welcome to our newest member, ontarget!! Sandra, that's a perfect name!! Especially given your archery skills!!
My chicken and steaks are marinating, potatoes are baking, and I'm trying to decide what else to fix. Broccoli sounds SO boring, but we need our green leafy vegetables!
I might decide to go drastic within the next few days and see what happens. I just need to get back down a teeny bit and I'm sure drinking water will do it. We'll see.
Happy evening to all. It's gonna be a fun one here -- I just took a message from a financial company for DS. Seems as though he's behind on a student loan. What else is new? The lady said they could work with him. I think we're definitely going to have to buy him out of that $2900 apartment debt so he can concentrate on all these other things. He's giving me $600 to pay back for the insurance and car payment I just made for him, and I think I'll stick it in a drawer and give it to him after I see he's on track.
Oh yeah and I almost forgot ... GO RANGERS!!!

getting a new username is sort of like getting a new "do." i'm smiling ear to ear.
frouf, congratulations on making good choices at the food court. i have battles, too, when i pass the bakery at one of the local grocery stores. most of the time i go to a different store. their stuff looks good, too, but not as good as the other.
melissa, you are 100% right on. a former ww leader told me i had maintenance down pat. i just have it down at the wrong size. stir-fry sounds good. we're having sweet n saucy meatballs and navy beans. i'm staying away from cornmeal tonight.
kathy, i love the new name, too. i can't tell you how happy i am for you for being on maintenance. you are one gorgeous chick. sounds like you have a good plan for helping ds. he has to be under a lot of pressure now. it's good you're helping him.

Yes. When you go to your User CP, go to profile. There's a place in there to change it.
