I am so exhausted...Negotiating on the house I like, keeping my house ready to show(my realtor likes to keep showing until due diligence period is over),
starting to pack & sort for a yard sale, worried about both my boys. One that hurt his shoulder & the other one has bronchitis maybe . Shoulder boy is stable and coming home to see an Orthopedic Specialist next Monday. They like for it to
"settle down" as they call it after the injury before being evaluated for surgery.
Other had a bad pneumonia in his teens and colds seem to always lead to complications. He is seeing a Dr tomorrow. Both are about 3 hours away in different directions..
Wishing I could bundle them up on the couch & cook soup for them.
Found out the house I like isn't likely to happen. I sorta expected that. They have overpriced it and were unwilling to lower it much. So I looked at apartments today and have decided on one I love..It's in my favorite area,
roomy & has lots of trees around. It should be a perfect place to rest & regroup while lots of my stuff is in storage. Then I can house shop at leisure..
So now I am pulling things out for a yard sale & starting to pack things that will be stored until I get a house.
With the apartment I will be able to rent it a week before my closing so I can
begin to set it up early ..
Sorry so long , but I am glad I have a better idea of the plan..Things could
change with my house sell but I will cross that bridge when I get to it...

Four two-layer wedding cakes done and ready to deliver tomorrow. Will pipe icing around them when I set them on their stands and garnish them with sugared grapes. The wedding is wine themed. I will also stay and help serve food at the reception to "pay back" the mother of the bride for helping me with my DD's wedding. I have started working with one of our math teachers on my statistics class, and she is really helping me. Hopefully, I will be done with that class in a couple of weeks. Trying to stay on Core, and doing a little better. Licked lots of icing today, but otherwise OP.
Sounds like you have a lot on your mind, Nancy. I know it's hard having your boys so far away when they aren't feeling well. I'll bet they wish you could make them some soup, too! Tell us more about your apartment! Sounds like things are falling in to place
Sandra, maybe the next time you sub, you can get some pointers from the welding teacher
Rhonda, sounds like your foot is getting a little better. What kind of shoes will you wear to the wedding?
Maryann, I am so happy about your weight loss! You are doing great! Send some of that fairy dust to Tennessee!
Pam, how are you feeling? Can't wait to see the photos of your newest venture!
Hey Vickie!

Nancy, you're in a whirlwind all right. I hope your boys get better quickly. Congratulations on finding that apartment. That has to be a huge weight lifted. Things are probably working out for the better for you with that house. Now you have time to look.
Sloan, wish I had some icing. Can you post photos of the cakes?

Maryann, I want to congratulate you for being in the 150's. Please send me some dust, too. I could use it. I keep bouncing back into the 180's.
Curtis just walked in with 6 Hershey's Milk Chocolate bars. I may have to eat a lot of bananas and play a lot of Sudoku.

Other boy has pneumonia...sigh
But on a good note I put a depostit on a great apartment and the 3 week count down has begun.. The inspection for my house is Tuesday, so that will be nice to have behind me..
I have about 3 weeks and think I want to focus on yard sale & give away this coming week, then packing & moving storage stuff week 2 and then packing and stuff to apartment week 3. Then I will have a few days to clean the house before closing..I have no idea how people work & move because it is a full time job..
Excited about being in apartment, resting, traveling and having more time for family & friends.

Nancy, I'm sorry about your son's illness. I hope he gets well quickly. That's good news about your apartment and moving plans. Hang in there.

I'll get to everyone soon. Right now, I'm just trying not to get mad about the fact that great niece opened the bottle of nail polish (after I had closed it) and DH knocked it over and spilled it on carpet and it won't all come up. And, I ruined my manicure trying to get the spilled polish off the carpet. OK, I should see this as an opportunity to get the hardwood I wanted, right? Right.
The wedding and reception were great, and I"ll get in a better mood soon.
Hang in Nancy...

Good Morning Ladies
Brunch was out today as the other woman were doing something else. No movie today either,so I'm going to ease into a comfy chair and read my book.
I really should go down to the beach and walk a little but I tend to be lazy today and want to stay home.
SANDRA=Thanks it took me a while to get down there. hope I don't falter around the holiday and go back to my starting weight.Sending some to you also. That can be tempting when some one else bring the candy or whatever into the house. I need to buy some candy for Halloween as somehow lots of more children moved into the neighborhood. But I'm not going to buy the candy until the very last minute.
NANCY-Oh No!!! Hope your son has a mild case and well quickly get better again. Very happy for you that your found your ideal apartment and hopefully that all will go well with your house closing and moving.
RHONDA-Accidents will happen, but I'm sorry that your carpet was damaged. There must be a web site that you can go to and look up, what will, take nail polish out of a carpet other than nail polish remover.
Have to go,have a great day

Rhonda, go get those hardwood floors. Guess I don't need to say, "Put that polish out of reach." I'd be upset, too.
Maryann, thank you for the I can make good use of it.
Curtis finally ate Hershey Bar #6. Life is good. We went to Spring Creek BBQ for lunch. I actually did well. I even gave Curtis my dish of Blue Bell Vanilla Ice Cream. (I did eat my roll, though.)

Nancy, hope your son is on the mend. Are you leasing the apt? Hope all goes well for you.
Sandra, you have more will power than I would. I made a Pumpkin Better Than Sex Cake today. I had a small piece and might have another tomorrow, but will give the rest to my grandsons.
Maryann, a big congrats to you for doing so well on getting into the 150's.
sloan, I'm sure you've been hearing about the meningitis outbreak in Nashville. Do you remember hearing about Judge Lovelace? He is their 1st recorded death from the tainted steroid. He was the judge in my town. We had heard stroke and now they are saying it's from the steroid shots. Scary stuff.
Rhonda, get the hardwood. How big was the spill?
Vickie, my Tigers are in the playoffs.
I go tomorrow for my heart cath. I am dreading the needles more than anything. Hopefully everything will be fine.
Have a good week.

Pam-I will be praying to you tonight and tomorrow. Please let us know how you are doing as soon as you feel better. You're right, the meningitis outbreak is scary. A friend of mine lost a dear friend from it. She was just 56 years old. Very sad.
Nancy, I'm excited about your contract and your new apartment. Hope your guys are better, soon!
Sandra, good job on resisting the chocolate bars.
Rhonda, did you search on line about removing the stain? My daughter has been successful at removing spilled nail polish, I just don't remember how she did it.
Maryann, thanks for the dust!
One wedding cake down and one to go. I will post pics when I get them. Night, y'all!
