good morning chicks.

I'm going to try finishing up the hoarder room. We had a touch of rain last night for about 5 minutes.

Rhonda, I'm so glad you got your piano. My mom's side of the family was very instrumental. My grandpa played organ in nightclubs in Detroit and all her brothers played piano, drums, guitar. You name it, they could play. Everyone except my mom. I used to have an organ and could play a little on it. With lessons, I know I could have done well.

Stay cool chicks.

Pam, thanks for the new pages. It's never too late to take lessons. You're inspiring me; I might do some cleaning and sorting today.

I'm waiting for DH to return from the doctor where they are taking blood for routine tests--we're going out for breakfast.

I'm watching the Science Guy, Bill Nye, talking about climate change. It's hot, in case you haven't noticed. How/why we continue to ignore this politically is beyond me. Of the past 17 years, we have had record high temperatures for 16 of them.

I hope you all have a great day!

but Rhonda, there is no such thing as global warming, don't ya know......This weather is so crazy. What happened to nice summers? It's so hot you can't even go out to enjoy it. It suffocates me every time I go out.

Yeah, Pam, I know. I live in Texas, the home of ignorance and denial. Otherwise, it's a great place to be

I just got the news that a friend of mine has a rare form of non-Hogdkins lymphoma, on top of scleroderma. This is very bad, very. His wife has been a close friend of mine since the mid 1980's. She was a very strong support when my husband died. I wish I were physically closer to them; they're in Canada.

We are leaving soon to go to DH's daughter's house for dinner. I had fun at the gym, even though I can't do a lot. Trainer says to just "chill"--it will take a while to get ankle back and I will lose strength, but it will come back with work. Of course, work!

Hi Ladies

Looks like I need a new refrigerator. The only thing I don't know where to buy it sears or cranes appliances?????????. Sears has my color scheme but I have to pay for delivery and removable of the old one,Crane's has the same policy but they don't have the color scheme or the brand. TG my neighbor helped me measure the cubic ft.

Going to cancel my appointment with the repair man and just buy a new one as my refrig is 12 years old,and its not going to last that long either.

Sorry for being MIA for 1 1/2 days.Yesterday I went to the movies with my to see "People Like Us" it was good, but a little sentimental for me.Oh things have changed since the last paragraph,I'm so confused so Today I went to cranes to see what kinds of refrigs they got but they were too expensive for me and they didn't have my color or the left door opening. So I'm having my handy man come over when he cuts my hedges to look at it before I have the repair man come over. If my handy man thinks I need a new refrigerator I will cancel the repairmen save $75 and get one from Sears.

Otherwise nothing is new,I'm going out with Rita on Wed July 4th and celebrate the over in Woods Hole, she thinks the MV will be too crowded for us.So we will stay on the Cape instead. Mary & my friend Pat are doing something with there children.

PAM-Thanks for the new pages. I had one of those room also, until I heard mys sister was paying a visit so now my spare room is cleaned.Hoped it stays that way.

RHONDA-All I can say is to stay COOL and dehydrated in this hot heat.

Have to go have a great evening

Hi everyone!

Sandra- my best friend just moved from Montana 3 1/2 years ago. Bozeman or Miles City (I can't remember). My neighbor for the past 12+ years and her are high school sweethearts who reconnected via facebook.

Sloan- I'm glad you were able to visit with your family. To bad it wasn't under better circumstances.

Nancy- I'm also glad that you are having fun with your son! Enjoy!

Mary ann- I hate that your refrigerator died. It seems like all appliances are disposable now a days. Good luck with getting a new one that will last a long time.

Rhonda- Sorry about your friend's health. Hopefully you will be able to be there for them even if not in person.

Pam- I hope your hoarder room was finished. LOL, I guess we all have an area we throw our junk into. Mine is my bedroom. I need to move my junk into my closet. Then I could really ignore it

I just ate a taco salad. Definitely not all core but very good. Plus two beers with lime. My first splurge of my diet. Now I am trying to work up the motivation to mow my lawn and work off some calories.

This week is going to be a little tough for me. Wednesday I am going to Jimmy Buffet's new casino Margaritaville in Biloxi to eat and then girls' night on Friday. I will try and do as well as I can!

Y'all have a great evening!

Maryann, some weeks are more challenging. I'm worried about this week, too. We just have to do what we can and try to keep in control. Curtis moved to Montana in the 70's. We met via a personal ad in a Ft. Worth paper back in 96. We lived in Missoula. Missoula's on the western side of MT about halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier. Beautiful country! We're hoping to revisit next summer if all goes as planned.

Rhonda, I'm sorry about your friend. Will you be able to visit them soon? I hope so.

Maryann, glad you got to go to the movies. Sorry about your fridge. Seems it's always something, doesn't it?

Pam, thank you for the new pages. That's interesting about your family. One of our granddaughters plays the trumpet, piano, violin, and cello as well as sings. I don't have a musical talent at all. I can't even hum.

Took our youngest grand swimming today. One of the reasons I go is for exercise to help me lose weight. Why did I buy a Snickers Ice Cream afterwards?

Ya'll keep cool. I'll see ya tomorrow.

Okay girls ...Top Secret !!! Not a word to anyone...

An old college friend just facebooked me ..I don't think he is married from his pictures on facebook (widowed?? divorced??)
I liked this guy alot & we were good friends and we could have had something but we went separate ways & both got involved..What I am trying to say is that there was something there way back ..I am catching myself thinking "what if"

Through the years , he is the one I have always thought I shouldn't have let get away...

It's 2AM and I can't sleep. I just took some pain medication. I'm really tired of this ankle hurting. I guess I pushed it too hard today.

I read something about people who can't sleep because their minds won't "turn off." That's mine at times. The advice was to cool your head and someone has invented a cap with circulating cool water--it seems to help. I think I'll pass though. Maybe I should put the ice pack on my forehead like I have a hangover

I can't sleep either..
It's 3:37.

Rhonda, sometimes when my mind is going I can try not let it "settle" on anything. I force it to jump quickly ..
If I keep it from landing on a problem or situation I can fall asleep better.

Obviously not working for me tonight
