Maryann, let us know what you find out from your doctor. My problems weren't because of PC. It was the cable running from the dish receiver to the router. I'm so glad it's repaired. Life is good. My son has a Mac and loves it. That's a good system for sure.

Whatever it takes is what I say. My cousin told me that there is no shame in playing the "widow card" a few times. My luck would be that they woud charge me more LOL.

The reason old people like myself should not text.

I texted my cousin about the handyman and sent it to the handyman
by mistake . Luckily I just said
"I may regret this but I just hired him to finish the bathroom"
When I talked to him he told me he got it..I told him I said that because she had tried to talk me into her handyman when he canceled twice.

2 or 3 times I have sent a text about one of my kids to that kid instead of my girlfriend.
Luckily those were not hurtful.

I need to stop texting...

good one, Nancy.

It is really a generation gap with this texting, isn't it. If it makes you feel better my 20 something great niece sometimes sends me texts that were meant for others. So far, she hasn't embarrassed herself!

Sandra, thanks for the long message earlier. I seem to have the most trouble when I'm at a social event and others are eating and there is a free flow of baked goods. I've managed NOT to buy them, to almost never bake at home although I love baking, etc. I think that this is some kind of phase that is lasting too long. I'm not tempted by pasta, or cheese, or even bread very much....but don't put me in the same room with !!

Rhonda, you're doing a good job what with cutting out buying and baking. Those are huge steps.

This is what I am going to try ...Went and got the groceries for this today.

Breakfast
Oatmeal or other healthy cereal with milk & one egg

Lunch
Protein shake with fruit & added fiber

Dinner
Chicken or seafood & veggies/salad

Afternoon & Bedtime Snacks (100 calories)
Nuts/Cheese/Celery & Peanut Butter/Yogurt/Sugar Free Hot Chocolate

I am hoping that by having everything on hand and nothing else
I may stick to it.

Please feel free to give input about changes...

Nancy, it sounds good. How many calories are you looking at, or are you?

I never got the butter on bread habit, but I also love really good bread.

keeping breakfast & lunch at 300 each, 400 for dinner & 100 cal snacks.

In theory this is 1200 but about 200 more for other stuff like my coffee creamer & wine at night.

Nancy, I wanted to say something about "healthy cereals." If you read the nutrients you'll see that many of them have very high levels of carbohydrates so those really need to be "counted" during the day.

Also, what protein powder are you using? Some of them have added and unnecessary heavy metals as filler. This was the subject of a Consumers Report article. I use Jay Robb's Whey protein.

Good Morning Ladies

Cold this morning only 54 degrees, hope it will get warmer as I'm going to Martha's Vineyard for lunch with my friend Rita. I think I going to to upstairs and see what long sleeve or sweat I have for this trip. I know the ferry is going to be cold going over there.

SANDRA-Yes I think one should post what wrong with them just in case someone else needs the same help. Oh happy you computer wasn't the culprit.

NANCY-I think your right we do have to play the widow card.but I'm sure he wouldn't charge you more forcing him to come over.

Have to run,and get ready for today's trip.

good things for me to check. I have been using GNC Optimum Whey but could get something different next time.

Biggest thing I need to do is journal all I eat. Then I can tweak what I am doing if I need to.

I ate some fries yesterday and I was very stiff & achey last night. Made me wonder if it was the potatoes?? Another reason for me to journal is to see if what I am eating is affecting my joints/stiffness. Maybe I am sensitive to the nightshades (potatoes/tomatoes)

Rhonda, we never use red ink here. Split anything you like.

Nancy and Rhonda, I am enjoying reading what you two are posting.

Nancy, I am journaling my intake, too. That really helps me stay focused.

Maryann, how was your day?

Vickie, how's the landscaping coming?

I just got home from doing water exercises with my gf. We had a great time. Didn't realize how much I missed being in the water. Now I am off here to make dinner.
