Default Weekly Chat - Monday, October 26, 2009 through Sunday, November 1, 2009

Good Morning Chicks! I don't have time to stay right now because I have to go get ready to face the music at JC. I seem to be up a pound. TOM has decided to visit for first time in 8 months. Harumph. My weight is up. I'll be back later.

Rhonda, you sound happy. I know you're enjoying being with Doyle. I wish you could stay in Texas.

Hi Ladies

We had a trying day yesterday our doctor called and LEO was taken off the blood thinner,as it blood was dangerously low.Had to stay with him so I didn't get out. Today the nurse called & my instructions are to watch out of abnormal bleeding and than will have to rush him to ER.

Just wanted to let you know everything is peaceful this morning Leo is sleeping as we both watched the Yankee/Angels game until midnight.NY Yankees are now on their way to the world series.YIPEEE!!!

Another thing I proud of is that I lost 1.5 at my W-I this morning, and now finally I out of the 170's.

VICKIE-Thanks for the new pages. Whatever don't get burned out with JC and your weight. Glad I don't have to worry about TOM or changes anymore.

SLOAN-Glad to hear that your DD is safely tucked away from that loony of a BF. That's one thing a mom will always be worried over her children no matter what age there are. So far so good Leo is resting quietly asleep up stairs.Hope we have a better day.

SANDRA-Thanks,I plan to take a little walk today to sort things out in my head. The days are are all blending into one and must sort them out. Thanks for the congrats.

RHONDA-I'm so happy for you feeling a home with your new neighbors & friends. Right now I alone as a couple of good neighbors & friend moved back to there winter homes and the last one when down to Fla.on Saturday.

Have to go will post later

I gained .6. I'm NEVER going to get to 40 pounds. Sigh.

I got called in to sub today and will be subbing tomorrow also. I'm having a blast! The kids are fantastic. Of course, some are looking for a button to push, but that's normal.

Vickie, you'll get to 40. Remember slow and steady.

Rhonda, I wish you were in Texas to stay, too.

Maryann, I wish you and Leo weren't having to go through this, too. I applaud both of your courage.

Yes, as Sandra said, life certainly takes courage...sometimes more than we think we have.

Vickie, take heart. Really, you'll get there. 40 pounds is less than one pound a week.

That said, I had better not eat any more Bluebell ice cream! I'm not even going to get on the scales for a week. I leave Texas this evening and it's back to exercise Thursday morning. It's been raining so much here that I've been outside only in the car almost. Sandra told me last night that she is living in the middle of lake!

OK, be good everyone. I've got to go shopping. (We bought a beautiful leather couch yesterday which will be delivered tomorrow. It's sort of a cognac color and vaguely western in look.)

Good Morning Ladies

Here's to another day, can't believe that this is the last week of Oct. and that winter is just around the corner.

Leo had another bad night, with his coughing bout,TG he finally got to sleep and I have another morning where I can find time to post.

Thanks for all the congratulate, not worried about my weight, but I glad that I'm out of the 170's and now I can concentrate on getting out of the 160's. Before the holidays come up.

VICKIE-Thanks for the congrats, don't worry you'll get to the 40 mark, didn't you eat something with lots of sodium in it. that what happens to me ,when I go up.

SANDRA-Glad that you had a good day subbing. Your right kids will be kids they see how far they can go.Thanks,I wish that Leo would get better and that we could have a normal life together again.

RHONDA-The traveling back and forth must take a tole on you.Your cough color sound beautiful. Never had a leather cough but my DD loves hers,so easy to keep clean.

Have to go,will be back later

Sorry about Leo's bad night, Mary Ann, but I'm glad he's resting now. I got my first TOM in 8 months so I'm blaming the lack of loss on it. This too shall pass.

Wow...oddly quiet around here. I did NOTHING yesterday. I didn't even exercise because I was feeling sorry for myself. It actually probably would have helped the cramps but I didn't want to. Today I will be on the treadmill. I got up at 3:30. Couldn't sleep. I was hot and HUNGRY! Weird.

Anywhooooo....I have my kidney specialist appointment for November 13th. Now I'm just going to put it out of my head until then.

I hope you are all well. I AM on program. Are you?

Good morning all:

To answer your question Vickie, I'm back in Toronto now.

I had said that I would not get on the scales, but I did. I'm very happy to report that I did not gain. I even lost about .5 pounds.

So, it's back to the office for me today. It is a dreary day: raining, windy and cold. It's a day to drink tea and read novels, but that's not for me today.

The couch is beautiful. It's not as beautiful as the $8,000 red leather one was! We didn't buy that one, even though I love red.

Maryann, I'm glad to read that you've got a goal for yourself even in the middle of all the chaos. I'd be willing to bet that you make it.

BBL,
Rhonda

Good Morning Ladies

Nothing new, going to try to get my exercising done today once we get back from the doctors. I have no idea how long its going to be this losing of mine with adding some kind of activity.

VICKIE-Don't feel ashamed about feel sorry for yourself, its a way of life.Especially when you have cramps, take it easy. The body doesn't send us strange signals, sometimes it wants to eat like there's no tomorrow and other times in my case now I don't feel hungry being on the go. It will straighten its self out and you lose big again. Hope the kidney specialist appointment will go good for you. Oh Yes I'm on Program and and hope to find more losses on the scale before the holidays start showing up.

RHONDA-Congrats on your .5 loss. That terrific with all the moving back & forth from Texas to Toronto and back. Thanks,I really like to get out of the 170's and now that I'm out I don't want to get back in there again,so me being realistic I'm aiming for .5-1 per week for Nov and than again in Dec.

Have to go, will be back later

Hey chicks, boy have I had a crazy couple of days. We had to leave for East Tennessee in the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday to help DH. The BF drama finally came to a head, and she needed backup. Currently she has a court date for an order of protection hearing, and he has been notified by campus police that if he even speaks to her he will be arrested. The realtor for the house that they were living in was wonderful, and we are pretty sure they are going to let her out of the lease. We are back home now, and she texted me earlier to let us know that things are quiet today.

Maryann, I'm still praying for you and Leo. I'm glad the doctor's office was on top of things with his blood thinner. Congrats on the loss! It's just not a fun way to lose weight!!!

Sandra, I'm glad you are having fun with the subbing. Three of my students "snuck out" of class today while I had a sub. Uh oh!! They will be in trouble tomorrow!

Rhonda, congrats on the "weight gain free" ice cream. Where can I get some of that?

Vickie, I have had the "cycle crazies" too! Skip a few months then TOM is here again! It is very irritating. You know you WILL get that weight off if you just keep at it!! You can do this; don't give up!

I have to get some school work done, since I was away for two days. I'll check in later.

Rhonda, your loss is awesome! Congratulations.

Thanks Mary Ann and Sloan for being so supportive, especially since both of you have family issues going on right now.

I hope everything turns around for both of you soon.

Rhonda, your new couch sounds gorgeous. I am anxious to see it. And congratulations to you on that weightloss. It came even after flying. That's great.

Maryann, I hope you and Leo can get back to a normal life in the near future. I am praying for you both.

Sloan, I'm glad ya'll were able to help dd. And your students sneaking out? What grade is that? I had someone call down to the AG building Friday to ask for "his son" to meet him in the office. I called the office and they called the real dad. I thought that was sort of funny. Anyway, the "son" was extremely quiet during class.

Vickie, are you feeling better now? I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.

I did wi at home again this week and had lost about half a pound. Nothing to be excited about. I have basically maintained the last 3 weeks. And I'm not maintaining even in the 170's. Wish I were. I'm hoping to visit the 180's soon. When I get there, I'm kissing the 190's good-bye forever this time.
