And lookie here, I can get on at night from home too!! Somethings have changed and I'm not sure what, but I'm not going to question it!!

Tonight we went to Buffalo Wild Wings where I got a salad and a small order of popcorn shrimp. They never brought utensils until the very end, so I ended up getting a lid for the salad and then brought it home. I ate half of the shrimp and also brought it, but it'll be for Judd's lunch tomorrow. It really ticks me off to have such terrible service ... I mean, if you order a salad, is it really asking a lot for them to give you a FORK? Geez!!!!

I'll work a few hours tomorrow and then will be going to the grocery store for weekend supplies. It's going to rain (hopefully) for the next few days. My poor old body sure needs the rest! Oh, and I'll have to show you pictures of my new crafts! I've been making crocheted purses and they are really cute.

Later ...

Hi Kathy and Welcome back!! Its great to see you posting again.

Things here are OK, I've been hitting the easter candy a bit too much and my scale is up slightly. Back to program starting today. I've also been munching too much at night. I finally pulled out my crocheting last night to keep my hands busy.

Just need to get through work today and then I'm off until next Thursday - dd has school break next week. I had her teacher confernence yesterday and I need to meet with the principal. In November both teachers (she has kindergarten teacher in the pm and another program teacher in the am to make the full day) had the same message - she is bright but needs to work on paying attention. Which we knew. I talked to her Dr a month or so ago, and based on our discussion the DR felt it was a maturity issue not add or adhd (hate those labels). Well, the am teacher saw huge improvements this year - she still is fidgety a bit but marketly improved. Nice to hear. Then I meet with her kindergarten teacher who said she is still very concerned as there wasn't much improvement. She is very bright, top in the class acedemically but she is concerned her not paying attention will become a big issue in 1st grade. 2 very different meetings. I do want a good enviroment for her where she continues to love school and there are a few options. Any old teachers here? There is a looping class where the kids are together with the same teacher for 1st and 2nd, regular 1st grade and then a mixed age class with 1st graders and 2nd graders. Too much to think about. I'm going to set up an appt after break to figure out what will be best. Her teacher did say if she is in a strickt, sit and learn envirioment, her fidgettiness could be an issue. I agree with that, she needs to be in a room where there are optional learning stations.

Nothing is easy.... Got to get moving BBL

Hi Everyone
Well had to go to the bank for son. Did that. Then hubby wanted some coffee. Made that. Now waiting on the washer to fill with water. Have to do laundry today. Well I will probably be today and tomorrow.
Going to try and go outside some today. The sun is shining. And it is going to be warm.
Other than that. Not sure what I will get into. Fix supper. Do dishes. Stuff like that.

KATPO That is upsetting. You order a salad. And nothing to eat it with. Guess they wanted you to eat it with your fingers.

BLESSEDWITHSARAH Hope the meeting with the principle goes well.

Well going to get off here. Got get the laundry started. Because it wont be long. And hubby will want something to eat.
Have a great day everyone.
Will be back later.

Good Morning Chicks! I've had an eventful morning. I've been up since 3:00 and then spent from 6-8 chasing the pup around in the yard trying to get a urine sample from her. No luck and even the Vet couldn't get one. She did get her bloodwork done. Now I need to go across town and buy her new dog food. I found one she liked after much research and an hour in the specialty pet food store last night. What we won't do for our pets.

Paula, my Niece is going through this same stuff with her nearly 8 year old. Not to scare you, but apparently many of the ADD, ADHD, or Autism spectrum kids are brilliant at their early years and because of that things don't get diagnosed until too late or almost too late once the grades have fallen. At some point, they can no longer cope with the disorders and the learning requires skills that they can't master anymore. Fingers crossed that you have a productive meeting with the Principal.

Coco, you sound a little better today. Maybe the sunshine and fresh air will help perk you up.

Kathy, I might have used my fingers!

I have to go get the dog food and then come back to eat and walk on the treadmill. See you all later.

VICKIE I feel for you. Know about trying to get a urine sample from a doggie.
One of our girls to have one. But couldnt get it at home. Finally at the vet's office. They took her out. And they had a special thing to catch the urine in. And finally got one.
Our girls is on Eagle Pack dog food. Small bites for the little one.
They got groomed yesterday. They look really cute.
Hope you have a great day.

Hi All,

Well, just got back from the park and walking with my mom. We try to meet once a week to walk, it's nice keeping in touch that way. I didn't make it to water exercise on Wed but I did go last night so at least I went once this week and as long as I walk tomorrow it'll be 6 out of 7 days. I wear a pedometer and have noticed we're (the dog and I) walking farther in the same amount of time so I must be speeding up (still to slow for him tho). Now if I could just get my eating under control.

DH is feeling pretty ichy, I'll be so glad when this is over only 2 left, assuming he gets them on schedule that's one more month Then I don't know how long of a wait before his 2nd surgery, but hopefully that light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train.

The PT seems to be helping my shoulder a bunch, the pain is mostly gone although I still have some range of motion issues, I go back to the Dr. on Tues hopefully he'll prescribe another month of PT and that does it.

Coco - Hmmm that seems weird that the Dr said that the drugs would be ok together but everything else says not to. Glad you investigated. Don't beat yourself up too bad, think what you would have done a before.

Rhonda - Hope you're enjoying your day off.

Paula - Hope everything works out for DD my nephew has similar issues, he's really bright but his attention span is almost nil. The Dr. said it was a maturity issue for him too he didn't believe in putting ADD or ADHD labels on kids that young (he's just finishing 1st grade). He goes to an academy that pushes the kids more so he's challenged it seems to be working (although he's not calming down much).

Sandra - When you're finished with that duster can you pass it this way????

Kathy - Welcome Back.

Vicki - I'll keep you in my prayers.

Well I should get moving, I didn't make it to the grocery store this week so I need to go get something for dinner.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi there
Not much going on here. The guys just left to go fishing for a little bit.
So thought I would get on here.
It was a really nice day today. Only got one load of clothes hung out. That was the guys heavy coats. So still have a couple of loads to do. Will do them tomorrow.

TECHALUM Hope hubby is ok. Can he take benadryal. Glad your shoulder is doing better. I dont think the DR was thinking about the meds. They can both be used to treat cholesterol. But the one is more for the triglycerides. That is what I understand. And the way the pharmatist talked. So he took the first new one pill tonight. So we will see what happens. He has alot of trouble taking meds.

VICKIE how are you. Hope you had a good day.

Well I am going to get off here.
Go check some e-mail.
Thinking of each of you.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Question -- is there a menu thread or do you put it here? We had the best dinner and it reminded me that we used to post all that stuff. I even had leftover vegetables, so I cut them up smaller and added shrimp, then "wok'd" them! Is that a word? Wok'd = cooking them in the wok. That'll be a lunch one day next week.

My doctor called today and said my antibodies were elevated for the EBV, which is the bloodtest that was done earlier this week. I have suffered from this for nearly 20 years and it reactivates once or twice a year. They treat it with prednisone but today she said the next time it happens, I'm off to the rheumatologist. It's a chronic mono condition and I hate it, because not only do I get the sore throat and swollen glands, I am just totally wiped out and can't function. That impacts my life so much because I'm not one to sit still, and being sick just really ticks me off. It's like wasted time.

Tomorrow we're going to the grand opening of a new location where we bought our last boat. They had a teeeeny showroom and really needed something else, so they built a bigger one and it's now open. We bought this latest boat about this time last year and it's a Moomba Mobius, which is a wakeboarding/ski boat. It has ballasts in the rear that fill up with water which makes a bigger wake. Like you care. Anyway, it'll be good to see all the new boats and their big new showroom, plus it'll be something for Judd and I to do together on a rainy Saturday.

After that, he says we're going to Costco to renew our membership and stock up on some needed items. We've stopped eating meat again, just fish and other seafood, so we used to buy these salmon patties there that were very good on the grill. They have wonderful frozen fish things like tortilla-crusted tilapia, which we love. Sooooo, that's tomorrow. Sunday will be catching up on laundry and getting ready for the work week.

Vickie, I hope your tests come out okay. It's always so scary to have these things and then wait for results.

Morning Everyone
Looks like its going to be another beautiful day.
Was a little frosty early this morning. But sun is coming out. And warming up.
Not much happening here. Going to finish the laundry. And then need to run the sweeper, dust things like that.

KATPO I think sometimes they start a menu thread. But you can check with the others to make sure. You are with the boats like we are with the campers. We like to go and look at them. We use to have pop up camper. Then had to get rid of it. Then 3 years ago. Our son bought a camper. But he is talking about maybe getting a little bit bigger one. But he said probably will wait a year or two. But it is fun to look at them.

Well I am going to get off here.
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Have a great day.
Be back later.

Good Morning Ladies

I'm Back!!! Hows everyone doing????? Had a wonderful time with my grand children & DD,but all good things must end as they went back home yesterday.

I'm very exhausted, going all over town with them taking to the Children Museum and than to the Aquarium and play ground. My leg is really bothering me,going to call the doctor on Monday to see if I can make another appointment with him. The meds & the ice paks are not working.

Afraid to get on the scale with all the restaurants & fast food joints we went to, I probably went up to where I was at the beginning of the year.

Haven't gone thought the threads this morning, hopefully I will be read them over the weekend.

Congratulations, Godmother! That's a whopping big boy there!!

The grand opening was great, and we had fun looking at all the new boats. It was so rainy all morning, and finally stopped sometime this afternoon. I made salmon, steamed broccoli/cauliflower/carrots/mushrooms, and rice pilaf for dinner. Tonight I made a pineapple upside-down cake on a whim. I guess what we don't eat tomorrow, I'll take to work on Monday to get it out of the house.
