Rhonda, I am so sorry about Jake. Give Doyle a hug for me.
Paula, good for you for enjoying your meal. Now just get back on program. You'll be all right. And like Rhonda said, you won't feel deprived.
Vickie, I'm sorry to hear you're still having those headaches. I was hoping they were a thing of the past for you.
Maryann, could you type your symptoms in a search engine to find out what's up? Just a thought.
Got to go. My puter's battery needs recharging.

Good Morning Chicks! My scale seems to be moving in the right direction and so I hope that my official weigh in tomorrow will be better than it has been for the last two weeks. I will have exercised for 5 days, even though it was very slow and easy. I believe it will help.
I didn't enjoy my entree so well last night but it wasn't awful. It's promising to be warmish and sunny today so I'm happy for that. I slept 10 hours last night and feel as if the headache might finally be gone for this time.
What are the Sunday plans for all of you?

Hi everyone. Its close to 50 today. Went out for a 45 minute walk and then played with dd in the back yard. We still have about a foot of snow on the ground, but its getting lower. It was great to be out and not freezing. I'm back on track today -- I must say, as yummy as that sandwich was last night, I'm not used to the amount of fat that was in it. The texas toast was nicly buttered and toasted, and then there were the onion strings and french fries. My tummy was not so hot this morning.
I did make a nice pot of veggie soup (0 points per serving). Its my clean out the fridge soup. Came out yummy, so I had that for lunch today and will have it for lunch all week.
Vickie -- good luck tomorrow. Let us know how you make out.
Maryann, hows the weather on the Cape today? Its so nice here.
Well, off to get some laundry swapped. BBL

We are having some high winds today so I've opted to stay indoors instead of working in the yard. I may later while we watch television. Eatingwise, I'm doing great.
Paula, your soup sounds good. I'm glad you and dd got to play outside. Sounds like fun.
Vickie, what was your entree last night? I am so excited for you and are anxious to read your wi report. I am going to have one of the new WW pizzas tonight. It's pepperoni. Should be good. I've had it before and liked it.
A friend of mine that's on another board I'm on is going to join us sometime this week. You're all going to really like her. She has a lot to share. I'm looking forward to her coming onboard.

Hi All:
Not much to add today.
I did get out for a walk with Jake this afternoon. I should go out again on my own so I can go at a faster pace than his arthritis allows him. Although this morning when he chased a squirrel in the backyard, you wouldn't know he had a care in the world
We are going to a friend's house for dinner and I'm going to eat whatever is put in front of me. But, if it's not Core, I'll be modest--promise.
Rhonda

Coco, it's good to have you back. So far, we don't have any wind damage. It's supposed to start raining tonight. We've been in a drought and definitely need it.

Vickie, I didn't eat the WW pizza afterall. I made some oven-fried chicken breasts instead. While I was making them, I was thinking of you and how you'd always let the chicken "rest" after dredging it. I let mine rest. They were good. I probably ate too much but I'm heading over to the WW site to journal pts.

Hi Everyone
Well today I had a salad. And I know it probably wasnt Core.
It was a cranberry walnut salad. Does anyone know if you could make this core. It had lettuce, cabbage, walnuts, cranberries (dried), feta cheese, mandarin oranges. And then some kind of raspberry dressing.
It was really good. Hubby had one too. And he liked it also. Came with our meal. I was thinking cranberry walnut salad. Jello with cranberries and walnuts. Got a surprise when they brought it to us.
Or let me know where to look for a recipe.
Oh I got a new cookbook today. It is called Fix It and Forget It Light crock pot cookbook. Seems to have alot of good sound recipes in it. Now I will have to go through and see how many are core though.
THANKS

Coco, I have the Fix it and Forget it cookbook. I've had it for a few years, there are some really good recipes. I had to lighten them up on my own, I may need to look for the light one. One of my weaknesses is buying cookbooks. I love them, love to read them and get ideas.
Sandra, what do you mean rest the chicken before dredging? Courious minds..... I have been pounding my chicken breasts before cooking. I find I can feed the 3 of us on 2 breasts if I cut them in 1/2 then pound then flat.
Rhonda, glad Jake is doing well today. When do you head to FLA? Maybe he'll surprise everyone and be around for a while. Your love will make the difference.
Had a great dinner tonight, went to our regular sunday night place. They had a baked Baraumundi salad. Never had Baramundi before, the waitress said it was an Australian white fish. It was baked and served on a field green salad. The fish then had a mango salsa on top and the salad was topped with a balsamic vinegar reduction. It was very, very good. Point wise (adding in my wine and the 2 motzerlla sticks I had) was 11 points, I still have about 4 left to go. Much better meal choice tonight.
Well, going to watch tv and relax. Have a good night.

BLESSEDWITHSARAH I got my cookbook at SAM's club. With tax it was a little over $12. There was another one there. I want to get that sometime. It was some recipes from the Mayo clinic. I glanced at it. Seemed like there was several good recipes in there also. But thought I would get the crockpot one first. I like to cook in my crockpot. I like cookbooks too. But am running out of room for them. Have a good evening.

Hi:
No, Sandy, this was not a movie and dinner night...just dinner. My friend made "50's food" she called it. Not one Core dish there! I ate anyway, and had a good time.
DH took Jake out tonight and says they had fun. Jake has been off his food so I cooked bacon and put it in his dry food, pouring grease over the top...he loved it of course.
I leave for Florida on Tuesday morning...going to an academic administrators conference in Orlando...I've never been there, but think I'll pass on Disney!
Rhonda

Good Morning Chicks! I've got a busy day today but wanted to stop in an say hello. My mammogram is this morning, followed by my weigh in, and a stock up trip at Super Walmart. Sheesh, I'm tired already. I exercised 5 times this week so it's pretty good although only 20-22 minutes each at about 1.8 mph. I'll increase as I can.
Sandra, you're cute! Did the resting keep your "batter" on the chicken? I miss cornmeal chicken. Maybe someday I can learn to eat it in moderation again. The entree I didn't care for was penne pasta. I liked it all except for the soy crumbles. A few of the entrees have the soy crumbles and I'm not liking them so much. I'm also not a big oregano girl so that's a factor for me too. I'll eat it again if I get bored enough.
Paula, your meal sounds wonderful. I'd never heard of that fish either. I'm just learning about seafood and don't have a large assortment of those I'm wiling to eat without tasting first.
Coco, I'm a cookbook addict too...probably because I'm a food addict. I just went through and got rid of some recently because I was running out of room. My speciality is healthy and WW cookbooks.
Rhonda, Hmmmm......50's food means the food of my youth. Yum. Sweet of you to cook for Jake. I'd do the same thing if it were me. I'd rather got to the movie parks than Disney...but I think I don't want to go because I'm too fat.
Time to shower!
