Well I set up the Wii fit last night and apparently I have gained 2lbs but official weigh in isn't til Sunday. I did do 30min on the Wii this morning and seeing as the exercises are not very hard it shows me just how out of shape I am. Oh well you have to start somewhere I guess.

good evening.

I did some exercising using the stretch bands and my left wrist is killing me.
Almost feels like a strain. I took some tylenol and it helped. Hope it doesn't keep me up all night.

My husband's birthday is Sunday, so I have 2 cakes to make tomorrow. He like German Chocolate and I got a strawberry cake for those that don't like coconut. We will do cake and ice cream Saturday and we are going to Outback for dinner on Sunday.

I am so torn about going back to "South Beach Diet or staying with WW. Core is similar to sbd, so I might just combine the both. I only have a couple more pounds to lose and really dont care if I lose them or not. I eat healthy, my cholestrol numbers are good, and I exercise everyday. The number on the scale is just that....a number. I'm wearing size 6 & 8's. I still have a little belly fat, but not a lot anymore.

Can't remember who asked but the potato soup is in the recipe section. It'[s made with hashbrowns and country gravy mix. It is so good, but i'm sure there is a lot of sodium in it.

I guess I'll call it a night and go watch tv. Have a great weekend.

Morning all:

Finally, the weekend. We'll spend it doing the never-ending chores related to putting the house on the market in March. Vickie, we plan to move as soon as we can after June 30.

The market is awful so we have some concern about being able to sell and move. But, I'm not going to get in a snit about something I cannot control. I have a good life with really nothing to complain about. We'll just take what comes, which is all you can really do anyway.

I've been way to lazy about I seemed to have just stopped when the weather turned cold. But, it's no excuse since I have a lot of DVD's...it's simple laziness. I'm going to see if I can break that this weekend.

It is 10F and we have lots of the white stuff. Sigh.. I do have two really large skylights so that helps with the lack of light at this time of the year.

Have an OP day, or at least count those points!

Rhonda

Good morning everyone. Well, I'm doing really well on plan. Since I started back at ww at work, I have been true to the plan. Tracking my points, keeping my evening eating under control (still snacking but planned snacks) and I've increased my exercising. Nothing crazy, I still walk nightly but I'm now doing some isometric exercises on my legs and abdomen. Each morning I do my stretches (2 weeks ago I could not get very far in the am - too stiff for 43!). So now I can put my hands on the floor when stretching over. Then I do 5 minutes of my isometrics. I like doing that because its only 5 minutes and I can really feel the burn. So far so good. My scale is happy these days and moving down.

Its playdate Saturday. DDs friend who takes gymnastics with her will be here an hour early. Then at 1:00 a different friend is here for the afternoon. I brought home work to do. Otherwise, not much else going on.

Pam -- if you are so close to goal, think about how you plan on eating for the rest of your life. What is a better fit -sbd or core/ww? Can you just do low carb or is a high fiber, portion control a better fit? I know when I made lifetime, I still stuck with eating mostly core - whole grains, whole wheat, loow fat, lots of fruits and veggies. I've managed to keep most of the 40+ off that I lost - hit lifetime in June 2005. HTH.

Rhonda, my sister is in the same boat as you. They just put there house on the market and plan on doing addition to their daughters house. Then be in semi-retirement. Lets hope the market turns around soon for everyone.

Well, go to get moving. I'll check in later.

Good morning all.

Rhonda, I have a ton of videos too. I've been mostly doing the treadmill, but the videos would be a nice change. The housing market is so slow right now. I hope it picks up soon. Where would you move if you sell?

Paula, great job. Exercise is so important. South Beach and Core are very similar. I eat whole grains, lots of fruits and veggies, lean meats. I stay away from sugar and enriched flour. Right now I'm tracking my calories at Calorie Count. I really like that site. It lets you know how many calories you ate, plus how many you've burned throughout the day. I'm trying to keep them at 1200-1400.

We are having cake for my husband today. My daughter is a nail tech and she is doing my nails today. Other than that, I have an easy day planned.

Have a great weekend.

"I'm so excited.....
and I just can't hide it....
I know I know I know.......

(Can't remember the rest of the words.)"

I shot my highest score of the season today. I'm still not to a peaking point but am soooooo excited!!

Also, I'm op. Looks like we'll go get more dirt tomorrow for the last bed. The rosebushes will be arriving in just a few weeks.

Again, "I'm so excited....."

Rhonda, I'll bet you enjoy those skylights. Did you exercise today? The only exercise I got was from shooting that tournament and moving a water hose around the yard. (Nothing like last summer)

Paula, on staying op.

Pam, be careful, my friend. You're in the dangerous area now. I've heard of a lot of folks who started regaining at the point where you are. (I'm one of them. I regained about 50 lbs.)

Bigmid, I have been wanting a WII. Do you like yours?

Vickie, I hope you're having a good weekend.

Got to go. The timer just went off. WW Pizza is ready. Life is good.

Hi Everyone
Well had a half decent day today. Was kinda cool. But seen the sun. Tomorrow we are suppose to be in the 40's. Then I guess sometime Monday into Tuesday we are to get snow. But then the weather man. Said he didnt think we were going to get alot of snow. Said they way the storm was tracking now. So guess I really wont know we will get until we get it.

ONTARGET Congrats on the high score.

PAM920 Is Sugar Buster similar to SB and WW Core. Hope you have a good time at hubbys party. Enjoy your dinner tomorrow.

TEJAS Good Luck with selling your home. Sounds as if you will be busy getting ready to move. I know what you mean about not exercising. I havent done it either. I have done a few minutes on the gazelle. But not like I should. And I havent gotten on the treadmill in forever. Just in the basement collecting dust. So one of these days. I will dust it off and get to walking on it. I really need to get to exercising. So maybe I will set that as a goal for the month of Feb. To start exercising 3 days a week.

BLESSEDWITHSARAH How did the playdate go. I am sure they girls had a good time.

BIGMID I have been wondering about the WII fit. Wondered how much of a workout you get. Someone told me it was a pretty good work out. Then I think if I buy it. To make it work. I have to take it out of the box. Do you like the WII fit.

VICKIE How are you doing. Is the weather clearing up any for you. Hope so. We still have a good bit of ice in our yard and driveway. Son went to Lowe's to get some salt. But they didnt have any. So maybe we can try Wal Mart tomorrow.

Well I am going to get off here. I hope everyone had a great day.
Night

Hi Everyone:

Good for you, Sandra. How exciting for you to be shooting so well.

Pam, I'm from Texas and I'm going back (and will be reasonably near Sandra). We moving to Denton, just north of Ft. Worth.

Vickie, Northern Exposure was a six season TV drama/comedy about people in a small fictional town in Alaska. The main characters are a male physican who is working off his education loan and a female bush pilot. There is a young Indian man who loves movies, an elderly female store keeper who is the town pragmatist, an arrogant, but loveable former astronaut, an ex-con hippie newcaster, a 60 year old pub keeper in love with an 18 year old girl who loves him back.....oh, and a young Indian girl who is the doctor's receptionist and wise beyond her years....it's great...

Yesterday it was 10F; now it is 45F. It's going down again for a few days and then back up. But, this one day of Spring has been very welcome!

I did do some exercise and some on the floor...but no aerobics. But, the day's not over.

BBL

Pam, I am just south of Ft. Worth. Rhonda and I are cousins. It's going to be good to have her living in Texas.

Coco, I'm glad you got some good weather this weekend. I hear thunder boomers outside now. I hope we get some rain.

Rhonda, we had 70's today. Tomorrow is going to be a little cooler, though. I worked in the yard a couple of hours today planting bulbs. I got a little exercise doing that but not much.

Ah, to be planting bulbs. I talked to a friend in Victoria, B.C. today. That's what she was doing too! Hopefully, next year for me.

Sleep tight everyone.
