What can I make with...

...a 32 oz. container of plain ff yogurt? I bought it for a recipe but who knows what it was now (this is why I need a menu plan!!). The "best by" date is tomorrow, just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for use! I hate to eat yogurt by itself. :p

use it in place of whole eggs or whole milk (for breading fish or chicken w/ bread crumbs or oats). This works well when the fish or chick is being baked. I do it all the time. It takes on seasonings just as eggs would. :)

Melissa, my corncake recipe calls for 8 ounces. It's on our board. I eat the corncakes with white chicken chili or regular chili.

Vickie, that's what it was!!! That's why I bought the darned stuff, I think. :dizzy:

I guarantee that you'll like them. Sometimes I eat them LO for lunch or breakfast.

I used the rest of my cornmeal last night making polenta cake thingies. So I'll have to get some more at the store! I'm thinking about going later tonight when it won't be busy, and I won't have to make myself look presentable. ;)

Have you tried that thing where you mix it with sf/ff pudding. It's vaguely like cheesecake. You use 2 cups of yogurt and whisk in a 4 serving packet of pudding mix and let it sit in the fridge for an hour or so. It's pretty good and a good way to get in a dairy serving.

Thanks Cher I may try that tonight. I have some cheesecake flavored pudding mix, so it would really taste like cheesecake I guess.

I am thinking of mixing the yogurt with pudding (either cheesecake or vanilla) and adding some bananas I have that are about to go bad. Any thoughts on how this would be? I found a recipe on my computer that was this very thing but with canned fruit.

nanci 818 09-13-2005 05:37 PM
