Core dessert idea

I don't know exactly how, but it's worth a lot of consideration. This would be about the size of those lemon things that Angela posted a while back (remember the ones she took to church?) -- anyway, I saw this on Good Morning Texas this morning. They were talking to the head chef at Cozymels, a Mexican restaurant, and she was making some small desserts in a large shot glass. They are just enough without being overwhelming. She made one layering crumbled pie crust, key lime pie filling, crumbled crust, pie filling, topped with whipped cream and a sliced strawberry. Another was a pineapple/coconut mixture, layered with fruit I think. There was a chocolate one that looked pretty deadly ... I think there were five in all.

I thought it might be a good idea to try and adapt for Core. Small desserts served individually, when having guests, would keep us from eating too much of it I think. And we could probably figure out a version using SF/FF pudding, extracts, etc. Even adding a small amount of FF Cool Whip would keep it to maybe 1 point at the most.

Just an idea! I know July 4th is coming up and people might be needing ideas of taking to parties, etc. These were in a glass that would be about 3-1/2 to 4 inches tall and looked very cute!

you could make some small parfaits. layer with pudding and fruit and maybe some crushed graham cracker. or you could layer with yogurt like the MacDonalds yogurt parfait.

They have these at a restaurant in our town. There are about 5 choices and people love them. The restaurant is called the Canoe Club and it's a chain. I didn't have one but everyone else was going nuts about them.

I tried to edit the title -- it's a little misleading but I can see you guys know what I meant.

Sometimes when you want dessert, you just want a little taste. That would be good for us because it might be enough to satisfy without going overboard.

I'm visualizing these in the little glasses that storebought shrimp cocktail come in. The shrimp cocktail is nasty (at least the ones I've had -- too salty and a funky taste) but the glasses sure are cute!

that homemade granola would be good with fruit salad or with sf/ff pudding in a small container. you're right. we need help with portion control. i know i do, anyway.
