Default UK Chicksters - What kind of diet are you on??

Hiya folks

I thought I would have a try a posting a poll to find out what kind of diets we are all on.... bear with me here cos I have never posted a poll before in my life....

If I have missed out your diet could you tell us a bit about it, or if you are on a diet and aren't happy with it, perhaps you could tell us why.

Have posted that I am counting cals - only started that this morning. Swapped over from WW so it's all new. SO I'll be needing help with some figures.

Default Healthy Eating

I am trying to practice what I preach. I feel guilty when telling clients to eat healthily and then going home and scarfing pizza cos I can't be bothered to cook!

Also if I make it hubby eats it. He's getting quite fond of veg based meals. Cutting down on the carbs is proving hard. Any low cal, low carb recipes gratefully received!

Thanks, Steff, and welcome back - you reminded me.... I read a really good tip for pizza the other day - when you have cooked it blot it with kitchen paper - I did that last night and I was amazed how much oil came off (rather put me off the pizza though!)

I voted for counting calories too, I know I go to Pinched Old Bag Class (Rosemary Conley) but that's just to get weighed.

I'm going to try blotting pizza next time we have it.

I might have to take some kitchen roll to Pizza Hut next time I go!! Not that I ever do, except that they sent me some vouchers because I complained last time I went and now I have to go spend them.

I voted for counting calories too and thanks to some good advice from Sarah regarding my BMR, I am aiming for 1700 calories a day.

Hi Neelix - another Star Trek fan - welcome to the mad house... the more the merrier! Don't dive in to the chocolate - come and post here with us. Most of us have done a little bio about ourselves on a thread called 'Hello, I'm....' if you want to get to know us a bit better. (Although it will probably scare you away!!)

Veggie - yes, I voted! Cheeky!!!!! Calorie counting.

BPB - what do you mean 'to a fashion'?????? My MIL is watching her cholesterol levels 'to a fashion' - which we have found out doesn't include takeaway foods or anything she eats standing up.
