But it's not the type of hunger like, "Wow, I'm unusually hungry all the time and all I want to do is eat."
I mean hunger pangs (I should be calling it pains) that are very uncomfortable. I feel like I'm starving. Sometimes it gets to the point of making me feel nauseated.
Now, there are a couple of factors here - one, I'm on my period. Which I don't think has anything to do with it. But I've heard other women say that during that time of the month, they're excessively hungry, although that's never happened to me before. It's possible it's happening now, but I doubt it. I just figured I'd throw that in there as a possible cause.
The one I'm worried about it excessive use of aspirin. See, I've got a tooth going bad and I'm currently on antibiotics to get the infection cleared up before I can have it pulled out, but for the past couple of weeks, I'm practically OD'ing on aspirin just to keep the pain under control. Not regular aspirin, Excedrin. It's the only thing that works. My dentist even prescribed me codeine, which has no effect whatsoever on the pain. The Excedrin does better than the pain pills.
I think this is more of a medical issue than a weight issue and mods, feel free to move this somewhere else if it doesn't belong here, but I wanted to get input from others about possible causes of extreme hunger. I'm talking painful hunger. And yes, it could result in a weight issue because I'm having to eat more than I normally do to make it go away. To avoid overeating because of this hunger, I've been chugging the heck out of water. Sometimes that helps.
Stomach ulcer maybe?
